Sediments on the seabed retain many traces of ancient events. Offshore drilling allows them to be retrieved. Each gives a chance to "dive" into the past. They were what scientists received in Vladivostok, where bridges are being built for the APEC-2012 summit. And they drill wells for supports. Some artifacts found in the cores baffled specialists. Since they have all the signs of not only artificial, but also extraterrestrial origin

The same aluminum plate, lost by someone 2 thousand years ago. Size - 6 cm. For comparison, it lies on the book next to the ruler.

“For many years I have been looking for cosmic matter in sedimentary rocks,” admits Valery Dvuzhilny, a well-known seaside “anomaly”, head of the Far East Bureau of the Russian Association “Cosmopoisk”, biologist. - After all, they carry not only the imprints of plants and bones of extinct animals, but also the remains of ancient meteorites like dust or metal particles. And, as I hope, material traces of alien visits that could have occurred in the distant past - millions of years ago.

Extraterrestrial alloys are found in earth cores (in a circle) - rock columns several meters long, obtained as a result of drilling wells.

-So, for example, five years ago geologist Rudolf Goduntsov found pieces of green obsidian - volcanic glass in the soil practically in the center of Vladivostok, - the researcher recalls. - Having visited his workshop, I noticed that metal balls glisten in the obsidian cuts. I took them and made the most accurate analyzes - a microprobe and an X-ray diffraction probe.

It turned out that the alloy of iron and nickel includes troilite - a substance characteristic of meteorites. This means that the balls were formed not from the processes taking place in the depths of the earth's interior, but during the explosion and dispersion of an iron meteorite.

The two-core one himself once found an aluminum plate! I dug in a summer cottage near the Rudnaya River. The soil layers were not touched by humans, not mixed. Valery Parnyakov, a specialist in soil age, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, determined that the plate was located in ancient sediments, which are at least 2 thousand years old.

But man began to produce aluminum only more than a century ago. Then who could have left an aluminum alloy at least 2 thousand years ago? The plate is rounded, a small part of it is melted with embedded grains of quartz sand. It is not similar in shape to anything known in modern designs; it has no stiffeners, holes, and so on. Its purpose is unknown.

For more accurate analyzes, the researcher sent a piece of the plate to St. Petersburg, to the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Ph. D. Igor Okunev. The results puzzled both. The plate contained 97 percent aluminum, the rest was impurities: calcium, iron, copper, samarium, lead and tungsten.

- We searched for similar alloys in the data bank, but we did not find analogues, - Valery shrugs his shoulders. - The only thing that is clear today is that man has nothing to do with this alloy.

STRANGE GLASS

And more recently - another unexpected find. During exploratory drilling of the seabed to erect the supports of the bridge over the Golden Horn Bay in the center of the seaside capital, from a depth of 19 meters in the sedimentary rocks, at the junction of the bedrock magmatic layers, a piece of a strange glass mass of blue color was raised to the surface.

- The first assumption is nothing special: a product of human activity, - Intrigues Two-core. - But on the surface of the glass there were "suspicious" dimples, reminiscent of the traces of aerodynamic blowing of meteorites when passing through dense layers of the atmosphere. And the most unusual was the composition of the glass: it includes both minerals characteristic of meteorites and lunar soil, and the rarest elements - strontium, rubidium, yttrium …

Valery made slices in the form of microscope plates. One plate lay for several months in a dry room, after which it suddenly became covered with white powder - it was sea salt. Remove the layer with a razor - the glass "sweats" again!

Another mystery is that after a small polished piece of glass lay in an ordinary glass with ordinary tap water, many defects appeared on its surface. It turns out that the water caused micro-explosions on the surface of this incredible glass! And is it glass?

EXOTIC METALS

“We also tried our luck at Cape Nazimov (Vladivostok), where another bridge is being built - to the Russky Island,” the seaside “anomaly” continues to amaze. - Literally the very first samples in cores - rock columns several meters long, obtained as a result of drilling wells in the sea, immediately gave the result: metal particles were found. Tiny - only a few millimeters in size. Very rusty and, on the contrary, as good as new! Various shapes - plates, balls, pyramids.

The depth of the well, where the metal was found, is 9 meters of hard hard rocks - sandstones of the Permian period. Their age is about 250 million years. At first, the researchers took tungsten alloys in the form of plates and torn pieces for fragments of drill bits, but the composition and thick, dark gray color of the oxides suggested their very ancient origin. The analysis made by Igor Okunev revealed a very complex alloy: tungsten, cobalt, iron. Plus exotic yttrium, terbium, rubidium. A particle with ragged sharp edges of black color - in general, as they say, into any gate: cerium, lanthanum, neodymium, iron, chromium, lead. But how did this apparently artificial alloy end up in the sandstone?

- We have not found any analogues to our findings - neither in meteorite, nor in industrial (including drilling) alloys, - Valery is amazed. - And yet they carefully checked whether they are modern. To do this, whole cores were cut into plates with a diamond saw and examined under a binocular magnifying glass. We reasoned like this: if these are the oldest alloys, then they should be in the cores, and not on the surface. Indeed, alloy particles were pressed into three depth cuts. There was no doubt. They fell into sandstones 250 million years ago, and man has nothing to do with them!

But who could have made such high-tech dissimilar alloys? Most likely, this will forever remain the same mystery as other strange finds in rocks known to world science. So, more than a century and a half ago, during blasting operations in the rocks of the Precambrian (534 million years old), two fragments of a vase were found. It was made of metal with an admixture of silver, and it was decorated with the likeness of a vine …
