Ahead of Halloween, Ripley's Believe It Or Not has done a fascinating survey of what today's UK people believe.

For this, a special survey was conducted among 1,500 adults and 500 children aged 8 to 12 years, which contained questions about the existence of God and alien civilizations, reports Ruconnect.co.uk.

As a result, it turned out that only 25% of respondents are firmly convinced of the existence of God. At the same time, more than half of the respondents declared a similar level of faith in alien intelligence.

In addition, the British were even more inclined to believe in ghosts and spirits than in some "supernatural being" in heaven.

It is also interesting that two-thirds of the children surveyed believe in ghosts and aliens, and half of the young respondents have absolutely no doubts about their existence. It's funny, but a quarter of the children surveyed believe that the aliens are already among us and are simply disguising themselves as people. However, only one in twentieth children said they knew such an alien personally.

Representatives of "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" said that today both children and their parents begin to believe in alien civilizations alike, which indicates the expansion of the British worldview.
