The human body is the most complex biological mechanism with a finely tuned system of interaction and work of all organs, with a high degree of immune defense. Many questions concerning our body are simply paradoxical and have not yet received accurate substantiated answers in the scientific world.

For example, why does every person out of seven and a half billion people around the world have unique and inimitable fingerprints, what is the evolution and true purpose from nature of this unique pattern on the skin? Scientists had much more questions when, nevertheless, several human families with a genetic abnormality in the pedigree were found on our planet - from generation to generation they have passed on a complete absence of fingerprints, called adermatoglyphia. In addition, the ability of sweat glands to secrete on the skin is much lower than that of ordinary people.

Or, for example, another so far unanswered question, why do people have different, but only four, blood groups that are found in completely different people, regardless of age, gender, race and place of residence? All blood groups are identified by antigens in blood cells that destroy foreign cells. It is for this reason that doctors must be extremely careful in cases of blood transfusion to sick patients, otherwise the donor's blood cells will be rejected that do not correspond to the recipient's blood group. However, until now, scientists have not established exactly why antigens arose in blood cells during evolution. There is only an assumption that their appearance is somehow connected with epidemiological infectious diseases of mankind, immunity and changes in food webs during global climate change on our planet.

Since ancient times, scientists have wondered how long the human brain can still work after decapitation, that is, cutting off the head from the body. In the Middle Ages, the Inquisition, doctors were interested in how long after the guillotine the brain of the executed person perceives information from the outside world, and whether the unfortunate person is conscious all this time. The mid-18th century French utopian philosopher Bonno Gabriel de Mabley described in one of his articles an incredible incident that occurred during the execution of a man. The executioner grabbed the hair and turned to the severed head, calling the person by name. The executioner's eyes suddenly opened and stared intently at a certain point, twenty seconds later his eyes closed just as unexpectedly, already forever.

Queen Anne Boleyn of England, who ruled the country as the wife of Henry VIII in the thirties of the sixteenth century, was accused of treason and executed by beheading with the executioner's sword. The astonished eyewitnesses of the execution with horror told everyone that at first there was shock on the face of the severed head of the queen, then her features twisted under a grimace of indignation, and then the expression of horror changed to sadness. After some time, Anna's head, separated from the body, still moved her lips, trying to communicate something.

Another interesting question scientists are asking is what happens in the human body after lightning strikes it? It is not always that people who have been exposed to a lightning strike are seriously injured or die immediately from the effects of an electric discharge of thousands or even millions of kilovolts. According to the latest statistics, more than sixty people die from a lightning strike per year, and about three hundred survived from severe burns and injuries of internal organs. However, there are cases of miraculous survival with absolutely no consequences for a person struck by lightning.

Here is a case in Chelyabinsk, a young 39-year-old man survived a lightning strike thanks to his underwear cross, which took on all the power of a giant electric discharge from the heavenly spark and did not even melt. The only complaint of the man, after the endured, was the complaint of headaches. The doctors shrug their shoulders in amazement - the guy has only shock and a slight concussion after receiving a deadly level of electrical discharge. As scientists have established in the course of research, at the moment of impact, a lightning discharge creates a temperature of up to thirty thousand degrees Celsius. Heavenly fiery arrow can fry a living person in a split second, turning him into a firebrand. This fact especially confirms the incredibility of the simply fantastic amazing salvation of a person, which can only be called a miracle.

Another amazing lightning rescue incident happened in July 2012. A young girl, Maria Mertina, was driving with her husband in a car along a country road, when she suddenly saw a blinding flash. From the lightning strike, she passed out and then her heart stopped. The victim was lucky, a doctor drove by and provided first aid by performing an indirect heart massage. They called an ambulance and sent the woman to intensive care. All the electric shock was taken by a small icon with the face of the Mother of God, hanging on her neck. The doctors called it a miracle. And today it is difficult for scientists to answer the question of why lightning strikes one specific person who is surrounded by thousands of other people. There are more and more people affected by lightning every year.

The next interesting fact in the human body is that a huge number of bacteria live in the mouth on the tongue. Doctors still cannot recognize all bacteria inhabiting the human mouth and cannot prescribe one effective treatment that could suit absolutely everyone. In laboratory conditions, scientists have failed to recreate a favorable environment for these microorganisms.

There are still a huge number of white spots and unexplained phenomena in the world, but it is especially surprising that some facts related to the capabilities and vital functions of the human body are still a mystery.
