The first officially recorded UFO attack took place in October 1944 over Europe. Then the US Air Force pilots met in the sky unidentified flying objects that looked like fireballs. The pilots decided that they had before them a new secret weapon of the Nazis, about which there were persistent rumors. The Americans opened fire on balls from rapid-fire cannons and machine guns. But the shells and bullets did not cause any harm to the objects. Even then, military pilots observed unknown objects in the sky, the flight qualities of which were much superior to the then existing aircraft.

Over the past fifty years, military pilots have repeatedly encountered UFOs. Often, unidentified objects were mistaken for border violators, and then the pilots were given the order to open fire to kill. One of the rarest documents confirming the reality of attempts to attack UFOs is a tape recording of the conversations of the F-106 fighter pilots who entered the battle with objects that invaded the airspace of the Edwards Air Force Base in New Jersey.

On October 7, 1965, 12 spherical vehicles appeared over the base, which were mistaken for a squadron of spy planes. Three fighters took off from the airfield with the order to destroy unidentified objects. The excited voices of the pilots on the tape describe them as glowing balls moving at a speed far exceeding that of their fighters. As follows from what the pilots said, several times the shells hit the objects. In places of impact, bright bluish sparks flashed for a split second, but this did not reflect on objects. The interception ended in complete failure: the UFOs left unharmed, and the stunned pilots returned to base with nothing. Fortunately, the recording of their talks has survived in the archives of the US Air Force and has now become the property of the general public.

Most of the official documents showing UFO attacks are off limits. Therefore, ufologists receive information about such events from witnesses who watched the air battles. This happened on June 24, 1999, when passengers on a bus heading in the direction of Dallas witnessed a fighter attack on a UFO. At 1515 hours, passengers noticed an unidentified object from the bus windows. The object had a disc-shaped body of silvery metal and was moving at high speed in the direction of Dallas Love Field Airport. Behind him, at a distance of several hundred meters, two fighters flew, unsuccessfully trying to catch up with the UFO.

When the superiority of the unknown vehicle in speed became obvious, the pilots opened fire from rapid-fire cannons. Characteristic clouds of explosions appeared around the silvery object, and hits into its body were marked with bright flashes. However, the pilots' shooting did not bring visible results: the UFO increased its speed and left the firing zone.

Big politicians are also concerned about the invulnerability of UFOs. In 1952, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill ordered a top-secret investigation of the UFO phenomenon. Churchill's resolution, published in the Sunday People, said: “We need to figure out what all these rumors about flying saucers and the impossibility of their destruction mean. It is necessary to find out where the truth is. One of the reasons for the appearance of such an order was the testimony of the pilots of the 115 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, when dozens of pilots saw strange air machines during raids on Germany and tried unsuccessfully to attack them.

According to unconfirmed reports, several encounters of combat aircraft with UFOs ended tragically for the pilots. On August 25, 1998, three F-1 jet fighters of the Japanese Air Force were heading for the Misawa base on the coast of Honshu Island. At 18.58, two fighters disappeared from the tracking service radars simultaneously. The pilot of the third car, which flew last, transmitted a strange message to the base: “I see a large red ball. Two cars were shot down. According to later Japanese newspapers, the balloon, seen by the pilot, was more than three meters in diameter and was emitting plasma bursts, which shot down two Japanese fighters. When communication with these aircraft was interrupted, the pilot of the surviving fighter made a sharp maneuver and avoided approaching an unknown object. Thirteen patrol ships sent in searchdiscovered in the waters of the Pacific Ocean a 50-centimeter fragment of the horizontal stabilizer of one of the aircraft. The death of the pilots was not in doubt.

On October 9, 1998, at 20.02 a two-seat fighter with an experienced crew met a red ball near the Misawa base. As soon as the pilots prepared to attack the object, radio contact with the aircraft was interrupted. No alarming messages were received from the aircraft. The search group of the ships found part of the wing and floating documents in the water. The pilots of the deceased fighter are still missing.
