Almost six years ago, strange things began to happen in the forests of central England. On April 26, 2007, the Stafford Post wrote the following: "The appearance of a werewolf-like creature near the outskirts of Stafford prompted a group of paranormal researchers from Midland to come to our area."

The article went on to say: “Many local residents say that near the German War Cemetery, near Camp Road, which leads from Stafford to Cannock, they saw a certain creature that looked like a wolf, which moved on its hind legs. Some argue that the creature disappeared into the nearby bushes, realizing that it was noticed."

“The local postman claims to have seen a werewolf at the German War Cemetery. While riding a motorcycle, he noticed a huge dog. When I came closer, the creature got up on its hind legs and fled."

This creature was also seen by the leader of the Boy Scout squad, passing through the forest in early April. He did not want to advertise his name, but said that he saw a huge dog darting in the bushes. Only when he got into his car did he realize that the strange creature was moving on its hind legs.

His story went like this: “It looked like a dog of incredible size. But when I slammed the car door, it got up on its hind legs and disappeared among the trees. It was six or seven feet tall (1.8-2 m). I understand that this sounds absolutely abnormal, but I am sure of what I saw."

Are werewolves really in the woods near the German Cemetery? So or not, but the local media write about it all the time. The following note appeared in the Chase Post: “A flock of dungeon creatures appear in the Cannock area to hunt. They are very similar to werewolves or Yeti. Perhaps they are responsible for the disappearance of pets, they probably eat them."

And a little below: “There were different theories on this score, from crazy vagrants to aliens from outer space. But now one of the experts on the paranormal has put forward the assumption that this is not a werewolf at all, but an ancient creature from the Stone Age. The researcher, who wished to remain anonymous, told us: “Many strange phenomena have been observed in this area, which were reported by ordinary passers-by, the military, policemen, ex-policemen and scouts. Some cases have been reported, some have not, many people do not want to be considered crazy."

Further - a clarification: "The strangest message came from a local resident, who believes that mysterious creatures appear from the ground:" Creatures crawl out of abandoned wells to hunt deer."

We, "above", simply did not take into account such an implausible story. However, the Stafford Post states: “It is a fact that Cannock's land has been mined for centuries. The fact that many domestic animals, mainly dogs, are disappearing in the area is also a fact, just ask anyone who walks their pet near the German military cemetery about it."

Needless to say, it’s impossible to separate truth from fiction with certainty among all these tales of wild werewolves in abandoned underground caves, haunted creepy mines, and pets mysteriously disappearing into forests. In fact, I still hear stories of werewolf-like creatures seen around that strange cemetery. And I'm not the only one.

The creator of the Cannock County Paranormal blog, Lee Brickley, talks about a variety of mystical events in the area and publishes information about the wolf people seen in the area.

In one of his notes, Lee writes: “… three teenagers who stopped to smoke in a parking lot near Brockton (a place that is considered the entrance to Cannock County), spoke of a terrifying sight: a huge upright wolf digging in an urn. Fortunately, from a distance of 20 meters, the creature did not notice them and soon ran away, but the sight made an indelible impression on the teenagers."

Are werewolves really in central England? Are wolf people everywhere? Since we have heard such incredible stories for six years in a row, the answer may indeed be an ominous "Yes …".
