“Together with a small group of friends who were also my work colleagues, I loved going to bars and similar places. One of my friends was called Mitch, my friend's name was Miranda, and there was also a new acquaintance named Janelle.
One evening we sat in one bar and then decided to go to another. The path went through a wide alley, and as we walked, something off to the side caught my attention. I saw blurry motion and thought it was an animal, but when I turned to look, there was no one there.
We sat at this bar and then went to another one and split into pairs along the way. I walked behind with Janelle. And when we walked along the poorly lit alley, I again noticed something off to the side and this time I turned around so sharply that I even had pain in my cervical vertebrae.
I saw a man who was standing near the garbage cans and thought he was a bum, because his hair was disheveled and his clothes were dirty and out of size. Janelle continued to walk forward at the same pace, pulling my hand, but I slowed down, something about this homeless person bothered me. However, I let Janelle lead me away.
In the bar, this bum still haunted me and could not stand it, I left my friends and went out into the street, and then went to the edge of the building, behind which there was a trash can in which that bum was rummaging.
In the semi-darkness, I saw a gray and indistinct figure sitting hunched over next to a dumpster. I decided that this is the same bum and decided to get his attention and give him $ 5. I shouted "Hey" to him, but he continued to sit and dig in the garbage. Then I came closer.
"Hey sir?", - I said louder, but he again did not react to my voice. Then I decided to give up my attempts and return to the bar. After a while and a few drinks, I and Janelle went outside and us Forgetting about the strange homeless person, Janelle and I began to hug and kiss each other near the edge of the building where the trash cans stood.

Then the sound of a bum digging in the garbage became even stronger and he worried me so much that I interrupted the caress with Janelle and turned a corner to certainly talk to this person this time.
Now I saw him up close and in all details, but now he looked completely creepy. It had long and messy whitish hair and a head with very pale, almost white, skin. The nose was long and curved, but oddly flat, and the jaw seemed very wide for a human face.
Staring at me, he opened his mouth and I got a good look at the rotten and pointed teeth. He seemed to be smiling at me. Janelle, who was standing behind me, pulled my hand, she was very frightened. The creature's eyes were milky white and from the sight of it I felt a weakness in my stomach, as if butter had been poured inside me and whipped up with alcoholic cocktails.
And then this creature jumped sharply into the air, let out a loud cry and … landed right on the roof of the bar, and then disappeared into the darkness. The scream reminded me of a bearish roar.
Then I thought a lot about what I saw, especially recently, as I returned to Salem, where it happened. But I don't want to go outside even during the day anymore."
