Ghost hunters claim to have photographed the ghost of either a pimp or a visitor in a 15th century pub that used to be a brothel in Durham, UK. The researchers were also able to capture the ghost of a young girl who, apparently, worked in this old institution.
A group of researchers led by Elaine Kelly installed special cameras in the room to try to get as much evidence of paranormal activity in the ancient pub as possible.
Elaine said that the building previously housed a brewery, and on the second floor, an enterprising owner made brothel rooms. Kelly believes that the female silhouette they captured on camera belongs to one of the "priestesses of love" who worked there around the 1800s.

Another ghost caught in the camera lens can be either a client or even the owner of a brothel. The researchers cannot say more precisely yet.

The popularity of the pub was previously due to the fact that a public court was located opposite it, where many people gathered for various hearings. The newcomers settled in the nearest hotel and always went to the pub after the intense court examination.
Elaine notes that her team was also lucky last year to capture the girl's ghost (the ghostbusters named her Rosie). They speculate that she may have been a waitress at a bar, but had to work in the rooms upstairs as well.

Jill Carey, the current pub owner in Durham, who lives exactly where the brothel rooms were, was shocked when she first saw a ghost in her bedroom and was initially afraid to sleep there. However, over time, she got used to her neighbors, and they no longer frighten her.
