Mount Livadiyskaya is one of the highest points of Primorsky Krai and is part of the Sikhote-Alin mountain system. Its old name is more common among the people - Pidan.
Various legends and traditions tell about this mountain. One of them tells about a strange winged creature that lives on Pidan. Another ancient Bohai legend says that a huge crystal was once installed on the very top of the mountain, with the help of which the priests performed rituals.
And here is the story that was published in the local newspaper Gentry:
“In 1968, hunters brought my father from the taiga. He was wounded, there were deep lacerations on his face and arms, and his clothes were torn. They took him to the village hospital, and then by helicopter was taken to the city, where he underwent surgery. He lost one eye, the fingers on his left hand do not work and he no longer goes to the taiga. And not because he cannot shoot from a gun, but because he is panicky afraid to even leave the outskirts. This is what he told us.
Approaching the ridge in the evening, he looked for a place to spend the night. It was Pidan's ugors and, passing by the upper rock, he saw a small cave. There was frost, wind, and my father thought that he could hide from the wind in the cave, make a fire. The entrance to the cave was narrow, so that in warm clothes he barely squeezed into the crevice. The cave turned out to be surprisingly long and narrow, but after three meters it expanded, and my father found himself in a "hall" about five meters wide.
The end of the cave was lost in the darkness, the beam of the lantern began to dim before our eyes, although the batteries were new, and the father, deciding to explore the cave later, began to collect branches at the entrance for the fire while there was still something to be seen. He left the gun and backpack in the cave, gathered branches and dry wood, returned, lit a fire. The flashlight went out almost as soon as the flame started.
My father warmed up and decided to go out again and collect some firewood. Entering the “hall” with branches for the second time, he saw that in the depths of the “hall” something stirred. The father rushed to the gun, and something, shouting shrilly and subtly, rushed at his father. Since the father was standing in front of the fire, and the creature was attacking from the depths of the hall, he saw him only at the last moment.
The huge wings, with a span of about two meters, were like an extension of the arms. The human head, covered with thick down, was without hair on the "face". Huge eyes and almost indistinguishable mouth and nose, although, of course, in a second or two you will not see much. The father is not sure that this creature wanted to attack him - perhaps she was blinded by the light of the fire, and she tried to get out of the cave.

It so happened that a person standing on the "flying" road became an obstacle. The incessant scream was replaced by some kind of howl, and the "winged" one began to tear his hands with his claws, with which his father covered his face.
The father fell and the creature flew out. The father says that he could not see anything more than the face and wings.
When the "flying man" jumped out of the cave, the father washed the wounds with alcohol, bandaged them, but the blood continued to flow, and the eye could not see well. He took the gun, sat down with his back to the fire - he was afraid to go out. After a while I heard a noise at the entrance and fired a shot into the crevice. There was a scream and flapping of wings. As soon as dawn broke, the father left the cave and went home.
By that time he could no longer see with one eye, the blood did not stop and his father no longer had any strength left. Losing consciousness, he fell on the trail. Found him at eleven o'clock in the morning. He froze his left hand, took two fingers away, and his eye came out."
In 1998, a mysterious cave was discovered. But by that time it was already completely empty.
