Teacher David Crichton was just playing soccer with a group of his students. The second-graders had just finished their warm-up when dozens of mucus-covered worms flew from the sky right at them. Moreover, there were no clouds in the sky at that moment.
The 26-year-old teacher says he is completely confused by the incident. Later, he and other teachers found worms on the ground within a radius of more than 100 yards (92 meters). They even ended up on the tennis court.
The teacher says that when the worms fell, soft falling sounds were heard. Some children laughed, others ran to seek shelter, but everyone was confused and did not know what to think.
In total, Crichton and his colleagues collected about 120 worms. He says that other teachers thought he was joking until they came out and saw that his words were true. They were shocked.
