Video: Before I die: a day with terminally ill patients | Death Land #2 2024, May

This story happened back in Soviet times, when its main character, by the name of Sergei, was a university student and received a scholarship as a needy: his large family lost his breadwinner father, who died in logging, and lived very poorly. After graduating from the university, Sergei, as they say, was driven into a bear's corner, where he had to work out his scholarship.

When Sergei received a telegram stating that his mother was seriously ill and dying, the young specialist was not released from work, as there was no one to replace him. With the dying woman was her daughter Tanya, at that time already a bride. It was her mother who turned with her last request. The woman wanted to be buried in the wedding dress in which she stood before the altar many years ago. Of course, Tanya promised to fulfill her mother's will, and a few days later the patient died.

Her son Sergei was able to come to his father's house only after a couple of months, and his return was marked by a miracle. The guy walked to the house through the summer garden and suddenly saw his own mother walking towards him along the path … She seemed alive and even spoke to her son. The woman complained that Tanya had not fulfilled her dying request and thus brought on herself a great misfortune. However, tragedy can still be avoided; for this, the wedding dress should be given to the beggar today. Having said this, the mother looked at Sergei affectionately and, crossing him, seemed to melt into thin air. He rushed to the house …

And before two hours had passed, there was a knock on their garden gate. The god-like old man bowed and humbly asked:

“For Christ's sake, donate at least one piece of clothing to the poor bride. I have nothing to put on my great-granddaughter, good people!..

With joy and indescribable relief, the brother and sister gave the old man their mother's wedding dress. And that suddenly once - and disappeared, as if he did not exist at all …

Since that time, Tatyana's life began to change dramatically for the better: she got a good husband, wealth appeared in the house, thanks to which she was able to raise her younger sisters and brothers to their feet. God gave his children too …

And Sergei, having stayed in his father's house for a couple of weeks, again left for his wilderness. One day he dreamed of his late mother - in a snow-white silk dress, young, beautiful and happy. She went up to her son and, giving a loving smile, quietly said:

- Cheer up, soon you will be invited to Moscow.

So it happened after that.
