This stunning story first came to prominence in 2015, when it was published in the January issue of the popular Canadian magazine Conwichan Walley Citizen. The newspaper's journalist was attracted by an interesting material from the archives, dating back to September 1908. More than a century ago, in the same tabloid, there appeared a fascinating article entitled "Message from Mars", which told about the fall of a meteorite with strange hieroglyphs in British Columbia.

Extraterrestrial message

The article says that one Sunday morning, a 14-year-old schoolboy was working in his father's garden. Suddenly, a dull loud sound was heard. The teenager, carried away by weeding, did not attach much importance to it, and then, a few meters from the young man, an object with a diameter of about 25 centimeters fell. Debris of an object crashing into the ground flew in different directions. The schoolboy was poured over with a hot shock wave. He got scared and ran to report the incident to his parents.

Adults could not get the meteor out of the earth for a long time due to its high temperature. Subsequently, it turned out that the fallen celestial body has a rounded shape and a surface similar to marble. But the most striking were the incomprehensible letters engraved on this surface. The Canadians determined that the meteor appeared from a northwest direction, flew, breaking many branches, through the crown of the tree and crashed into the ground at a 45-degree angle.

The father of the family, Angus McKinnon, was extremely interested in his accidental acquisition and studied it for a long time. He unsuccessfully tried to decipher the mysterious hieroglyphs on the meteor and even turned to specialists in the field of cryptography, however, they did not achieve any results. A couple of months later, he handed over the find to the Ottawa Ministry of Mines, and geologists began to investigate the alien body. The latter also examined the funnel formed in the compatriot's garden and took a soil sample from there for analysis.

Soon there were buyers who wanted to purchase a unique meteor. McKinnon, who invested a lot of time and effort in the artifact, bargained gamblingly, not wanting to sell too cheap. It is not known whether the Canadian managed to sell his treasure, but soon the meteor was gone. Someone thinks that they really bought it from Angus. Others suggest that the stone of extraterrestrial origin was taken from the man by the special services. There is also an opinion that the object was radioactive. Radiation had just been discovered 12 years earlier, and McKinnon should have been well aware of such a discovery. Maybe, sensing something was wrong, he took the meteor somewhere to nature and buried it there away from sin.

Be that as it may, not a single photograph of this artifact with mysterious inscriptions has survived to this day. The pictures presented by us depict only objects similar in color or texture.

Does this have anything to do with the Tunguska meteorite?

As you know, in the same 1908, another, incomparably louder event happened - the fall in Eastern Siberia of the so-called Tunguska meteorite. He allegedly provoked a colossal explosion in the area of the Podkamennaya Tunguska River, comparable in TNT equivalent to the power of the explosion of the Tsar Bomb - the most destructive weapon in human history.

I wonder if these events could have any connection? Maybe the Canadian meteorite was a warning letter about the Tunguska catastrophe? It is also possible that a Canadian meteorite lies in some private collection and still keeps a secret, the decoding of which could radically change the course of the history of our planet. Of course, for the better …
