Some people just love to visit various graveyards, but walking around the cemetery for fun, as it turns out, is not as harmless and safe as it seems at first glance.
As a certain Lyudmila shared on the Internet, she was convinced of this from her own sad experience. That summer, she and her six-year-old daughter once went to a neighboring village to swim in the river. The day was just wonderful for such a walk! And even the winding road along which they were returning from the river seemed to them then a real fairy tale.
And then suddenly a village churchyard came across, past which their car was passing. Either at the request of her daughter, or out of some kind of curiosity of her own (the woman no longer remembers this), but they stopped and decided to walk among the graves, especially since the day was sunny, affectionate, invigorating, and nothing portended anything bad in this walk …
Zhenina and the child walked between the enclosures, read the inscriptions, looked at the photos on the monuments. And on those graves that were completely unkempt and abandoned, they began to put sweets with good wishes to the deceased for eternal sleep. They thought that in this way they were doing a good deed, honoring the nameless dead.
That seems to be all, but the worst thing started at night. All these spirits of the deceased, whom they disturbed (or invited to themselves with alms, some wrong actions), came to visit them closer to midnight. They scurried about the rooms, rattled dishes in the kitchen, slammed doors. Lyudmila, crawling under the blanket with her head, prayed, mentally asking these restless souls to leave her house alone. With that, I forgot myself in a disturbing sleep already in the morning.
And she dreamed of a wonderful thing: as if a man's and a woman's voices were talking (as if by themselves, without a body). Let's get out of here, the man admonished, enough to frighten the unfortunate. Nothing will happen to them, the woman laughed, my late papa also scared me at night …
Fortunately, says Lyudmila, only I lived through this nightmare, he somehow did not touch my daughter: she immediately fell fast asleep that evening. But most importantly, whether thanks to my prayers, the Higher Forces took pity on me and forgave me my stupidity, since the spirits of the deceased did not visit my house anymore.
Since then, the woman never went to the cemetery for a walk, and she did not allow her children to do so. Not entirely harmless this activity is to disturb the dead, especially if you do not know the rules for visiting graveyards (see this video) …
