British supernatural researchers claim that they managed to capture on video a black phantom figure watching them in an abandoned building. This happened a few days ago in the English city of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The ghost hunters went at night to the structure, where, according to urban legends, seven monks were killed in due time.
The head of the group, 36-year-old Dan Litchfield, says that the specialists were interested in the building that once housed a slaughterhouse and then a pub. However, in medieval times, a monastic community lived here, seven members of which were stabbed to death during the Tudor secularization of monasteries. Legend has it that since then the spirits of the killed ascetics periodically materialize here, although no one has ever seen all seven ghosts together.

One of the hunters makes an offering to the spirits, leaving a soft toy for them. At this time, the operator directs the camera somewhere deep in the room, and there suddenly appears a black human silhouette, standing motionless and as if looking at the people who came to his abode. The researchers noticed this figure only later and were very pleased with their find.
Litchfield says: “Capturing a ghost on video for paranormal explorers like us is like getting in touch with the secret of the Holy Grail for Christians. This happens very rarely. Usually we are talking about a pareidolic illusion, when something that looks like a face enters the camera, but in fact there is nothing there. Here we clearly shot a dark human silhouette, which had nowhere to come from, because there was no one in the building besides us. We are convinced that this is a phantom of one of the monks."
