A resident of African Guinea fell victim to an extremely rare disorder, due to which those around him were called "the hands of the devil." Thanks to the efforts of plastic surgeons, the teenager was able to return to a full life.
A seventeen-year-old boy was teased by his classmates with "claws" and "hands of the devil." The fact is that he had a rare birth defect, which led to the fact that his both arms were raised above his head all the time. Doctors could not establish what caused this anomaly, but for the first time in his entire life Mamad was able to give up.
All this became real as a result of the effective work of the international charitable organization Mercy Ships (Great Britain), which raised the funds necessary for the operation.
The surgeons were able to realize the boy's old dream - to save him from the birth defect. Indeed, a lot fell on the fate of Mamadu. At the age of fifteen, he went to the capital of Guinea to collect alms. He had to live on the street. It was there that the representatives of the Mercy Ships organization found him. They initiated the arrival of qualified surgeons.
Thanks to their efforts, the guy's left hand fully restored its functionality, and the right one dropped significantly. Although only a few fingers are left on it, and the palm remains curved, the boy cannot get enough of the results of the operation.
And this is understandable, because throughout his childhood, a resident of one of the small rural areas of the country was the object of ridicule because of his disability. As Mamadu himself said, people did not want to see him. And although he could dress quite normally and perform simple manipulations, the guy clearly understood that he would not be able to find a normal job. Now Mamadu will finally feel like a full-fledged person.
