For the first time, predators gnawed 8 lambs, and another 22 died in the following days - from inflammation of wounds, exsanguination and stress. Recently, the situation repeated itself, and this time 18 animals were bitten to death.

Vasily Velikodnev, the director of the experimental production farm, where the incident happened, said that the other day, just a week after the second attack, the farmers also lost the remaining surviving sheep. 22 sheep for no apparent reason began to lose strength: they did not want to get up and refused to take food. As a result, they too died of exhaustion and, possibly, stress. Thus, in just a month from the herd of 62 heads, for unclear reasons, not a single animal remained.

The official version of veterinarians is still the assumption that flocks of stray dogs or fighting dogs entered the pen twice. However, the director does not agree with this version, because, as the cynologists and criminologists said, the night guests left no traces, and they didn’t eat lamb either. The version that it was a lynx is also unlikely, because it alone would not have coped with so many animals. The farm workers call it mysticism.

In the meantime, the Rosselkhoznadzor commission, which visited this agricultural enterprise with an inspection, fined the management 20 thousand rubles for the absence of wood makers and showers for farm workers, as well as for manure in the pens.
