Video: Baffling Ancient Artefacts Found In Coal...Incredible, They Are Far Older Than We Thought 2024, May
Anonim

Scientists dug up an artifact of the Hellenistic period (323-30 BC) in the Israeli Negev desert, after which all kinds of misfortunes began to happen to them.

Archaeologists from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have discovered a 2,200-year-old structure, which is a rectangular parallelepiped of white stone. The researchers were helped in this by modern drones equipped with video cameras. With the help of their experts, they found something resembling an Edomite temple, in which an ancient relic was hidden.

The mysterious object looks like a stone box with three-dimensional images of livestock on four sides. The find was made by archaeologists in the Beit Guvrin Maresha National Park. The head of the excavation, Dr. Oren Gutfeld, as well as his colleagues Pablo Betser and Michal Aber report that the artifact must be incredibly rare - before the world's scientists have not found anything like it. The stone box was probably made during the conquest of this region by the Hasmonean priestly family. But why? Is it a sacred altar? Or a vessel in which something is hidden?

Afflictions similar to revenge

However, this is far from the strangest thing. As soon as the scientists removed the relic to the surface, various mysterious things began to happen to the team members - misfortunes very similar to the revenge of some powerful otherworldly forces. One of the experts accidentally twisted his leg, another was badly injured with a knife-spatula, the third was crushed by a stone, miraculously not crushing the hand. It is worth noting that history knows many cases when, during excavations, disasters began to occur with archaeologists. Suffice it to recall the famous Egyptian pyramids, which in an incomprehensible way claimed the lives of dozens of experienced explorers - of those who dared to disturb the sleep of the pharaohs in the tombs.

Unfortunately, people of science, who value their reputation, are unlikely to admit to the public and sometimes even to each other that their interaction with the artifact may be to blame. Perhaps Israeli specialists should not have removed this item from the ancient temple, because in this way they incurred the wrath of some supernatural forces that had protected this place from people for many centuries.
