Accordingly, an atmospheric storm may take place, albeit a very peculiar one.
Actually, the phenomenon of such vortices is not new for Neptune. Back in 1989, Voyager 2 became the discoverer of the Great Dark Spot - an anticyclone similar to the same spot on Jupiter, and it was believed that it would also be in place. However, three years later, everything suddenly changed. The atmospheric storm has moved to the northern hemisphere. It turned out that the local clouds are moving fast enough, in fact, creating vortices in different places around the planet. They generally appear at low altitudes, where the troposphere appears to be a "hole" from the outside, but are formed for months. Sometimes methane clouds were referred to them. Since the movement of clouds occurs often and, which is characteristic, constantly, some scientists have noted that gradually they can brighten, not necessarily being only dark. Eddies often dissipate near the equator, although this has not been proven in fact. Neptune is extremely difficult to study, since it is actually on the edge of the solar system. One way or another, experts do not deny that an atmospheric storm can lighten, while remaining so.
The details will become clear when it becomes possible to really learn more about Neptune. In fact, since local clouds can move quickly, then they could calmly reach the equatorial belt, remaining also bright so that from the side for terrestrial telescopes they seem bright enough. And so it happened that the very spot was observed that surprised the graduate student of the University of California. What he saw testifies only to the fact that storms on the planet are different. In addition, cyclicity, which, as you know, is very characteristic of space, cannot be ruled out. Considering that observations of Neptune conventionally began not so long ago, is it not possible that a light storm was a familiar phenomenon for the planet, just repeated, for example,once every thirty years? In order to give precise characteristics to such a phenomenon on this celestial body or others, one should fully study all the details of its development and existence in general. Thus, we can conclude that the storm is exactly a storm.
However, ufologists put forward their version: a bright spot appeared from the fact that the aliens suddenly decided to test nuclear weapons on Neptune. A logical question arises: why exactly there? How could aliens like the outer planet from the Sun? It is not the only gas giant, for that matter, if it could have been chosen for those characteristics. Also, what's the logic to explode something where it can be noticeable? If indeed some experiments could be carried out, especially with nuclear weapons, then it would be better to do them somewhere in the Kuiper belt. In the end, this region, as well as the Oort cloud that follows it, is the least studied in the solar system and is still poorly visible. One way or another, some astronomers believe that whole planets can somehow hide in the amount of as many as two pieces,but they will see it at least in a few years, so it's a good place for experiments. If we take on faith the version of ufologists about the only hypothetically discovered and investigated spaceship that fell to Earth in the last century, then, in their own words, the device was extremely unusual. Theoretically, there could be an atomic engine, but if there was one, the main part of the mechanism was functioning precisely not because of it.
