Experts say that the modern iPhone may be replaced by a computerized brain, on which Neuralink is currently working. Futurist Ray Kurzweil suggests that the computer will be able to connect to the brain as early as 2030.
"Smart" technology is improving every day and no one is surprised by smart speakers like Google Home or Amazon Echo, which work on the basis of voice input. It is assumed that modern smartphones will soon go to the shelves in museums, and they will be replaced by technologies entirely focused on voice input of information. Also, VR technology, for example Google Glass, claims to replace the iPhone, only at this stage humanity is not yet ready for their daily use.
But this will happen after the modernization of the VR headset, which will make the gadgets lightweight and portable so that people can carry them with them. By that time, the barrier between the real and the virtual world will finally collapse, respectively, smart glasses will be an irreplaceable device for user access to digital information.
Either way, if Neuralink or another company can create a computerized brain, then the world will change forever. This will be the beginning of a new era, in which there will be no not only smartphones, but all modern electronics. At least why would a person need to carry a smartphone with him if his brain is directly connected to the Internet.
