What a hell for the gods from a cozy old planet our Earth turned out to be. The transition of man from hunting and gathering to agriculture did not have any natural objective reasons and was carried out only under the influence of an external force - some "gods", in fact, former representatives of a more highly developed alien civilization. The result of this influence from the outside was the formation of ancient centers of agriculture and human civilization as a whole.
The author is rather skeptical about the idea of some kind of "humane mission" of a kind alien civilization. Firstly, any intervention has, in addition to positive consequences, and negative ones. Secondly, the "gods" inevitably had to move their interests. And the interests of the two civilizations, which are separated by a whole abyss in terms of development, inevitably in many ways should contradict each other. And thirdly, the Sumerian myths, for example, do not at all mention any "humane" aspirations of the "gods". According to the version of these myths, the "gods" only shifted their hard work onto the shoulders of people, using them as servants.
The version of a certain large-scale "experiment" started in ancient times by an alien civilization on our planet also raises serious doubts about its validity. And the main objection here can be reduced to the following: despite the great differences between the centers of ancient agriculture, they have very (and I would say: too much!) Much in common. First of all: in all these centers the emphasis was placed on grain farming in its most laborious form (the grain was ground and only then used for cooking, although there are much simpler ways of using it). And secondly, all the centers of ancient agriculture, according to N. Vavilov's research, are concentrated in a very narrow strip, as a result of which practically the same climatic conditions take place in all the centers.
The foregoing leads us to the idea that the "gods" started all this "not from a good life." They not only and not so much “wanted” as “needed” such interference in the affairs of earthly civilization.
Perhaps this happened as a result of a technical accident of a large spacecraft, after which it could no longer leave the limits of our planet. And it is possible that the reasons were of a "political" nature: one part of the aliens, due to some conflict with another part of the representatives of their civilization, was forced to leave their home planet and settle on Earth, creating a kind of colony here.
Note that in the mythology of different peoples one can find not only hints of conflicts between the "gods" among themselves, but also almost direct indications of the "political" reasons for the colonization of the Earth. Actually, with a high degree of probability it is this motive that underlies the well-known biblical story about the overthrow of guilty angels from heaven to earth …
Certain confirmation of this hypothesis can be found in mythology. First, it includes a deliberately very limited number of "gods" (only India stands out here, however, a finite number of "gods" are most often encountered there). Secondly, myths and legends clearly indicate some kind of "heavenly" or "stellar" origin of the "gods".

There is one point in ancient legends that seems very interesting in the light of the accepted "basic hypothesis". I mean the data of Egyptian mythology on the terms of the "reign" of the gods.
Based on the information gleaned from the Egyptian priests, the ancient Greek researcher Manetho argued that at the beginning, for 12,300 years, seven great gods ruled Egypt: Ptah - 9,000 years, Ra - 1,000 years, Shu - 700 years, Geb - 500 years, Osiris - 450 years, Set 350 years and Horus 300 years. In the second dynasty of gods there were 12 divine rulers - Thoth, Maat and ten others - they ruled the country for 1570 years (which is about 130 years in terms of one god). The third dynasty consisted of 30 demigods, who ruled for 3650 years (in terms of one - about 120 years). This was followed by a period lasting 350 years, which was a period of chaos, when Egypt was divided and there was no ruler. This period ended with the unification of Egypt under Menes, who is considered to be the first pharaoh of Egypt.
Then, if we look at the terms of the "reign" of the gods of Egypt as limited by their life span, then we will see … a clear reduction in the life span of the gods! And since this reduction has the character of a completely clear pattern, then we have the right to assume that this "shortening" of the life of the gods was irresistible for them and had quite certain prerequisites. Within the framework of the accepted "basic hypothesis", such prerequisites could well be the influence on the gods of those external factors that they had to face on Earth. That is, the adaptation to life on our planet did not pass without leaving a trace and affected the duration of their life, and quite strongly and extremely negatively.
And this could only happen if the conditions on Earth were noticeably different from the conditions on the home planet of the gods in something significant for them.
At the same time, as clearly follows from the myths, these differences were not cardinal.
First, the overwhelming majority of gods in various mythologies could quite successfully do without spacesuits. Consequently, the composition of the earth's atmosphere was close to the composition of the atmosphere in the homeland of the gods.
Secondly, on the one hand, the gods in myths are quite easily able to move around the Earth, and on the other hand, nowhere in the myths is it mentioned that the gods move by such jumps as astronauts on the Moon. Consequently, the gravity on the home planet of the gods is close to that of Earth.
Thirdly, the gods were completely content with earthly food. And although some agricultural crops, according to myths, were passed on to people by the gods, having previously “improved” them, and traces of genetic experiments with some plant species are found in South America, the gods nevertheless accepted human sacrifices with earthly gifts and consumed them as food. And this can only say about one thing: the biochemistry of the gods fully perceived earthly products, i.e. not so different from human biochemistry.

According to mythology, the art of metallurgy was passed on to people by the gods. So that's it. If you carefully analyze the texts of ancient myths, you will notice that this refers specifically to non-ferrous metals, and not to iron. Among the Egyptians, for example, copper was known for a very long time and already under the first pharaohs (4000-5000 years BC), copper was mined in the mines of the Sinai Peninsula. Iron appears in the everyday life of people much later - only in the II millennium BC.
Of course, the currently accepted explanation for the later development of iron by the greater labor intensity of its extraction and the complexity of processing is quite logical. But it is not without flaws.
For example: over the centuries, cutting down huge stone blocks (for tombs, palaces, etc.), processing them, applying carved decorations - and at the same time using only copper tools, without trying to find a more effective material for tools!?.. How do you imagine Can you imagine that?.. And even with the advent of bronze - a much stronger alloy of copper and tin - it has long been used only for the manufacture of luxury items and jewelry!.. Straightforward - scenes from some masochistic film …
Representing such scenes, one involuntarily inclines to the idea that the myths are not so fantastic. The secrets of metallurgy could indeed be passed on to people by gods, whose technologies were adapted to the conditions of their home planet - a lot of copper and little iron …
Iron was scarce and the gods themselves on Earth. In mythology, one can find descriptions of literally single objects made of iron; these objects were of "heavenly" origin and belonged only to the gods.
Second indirect evidence. In fairy tales (as works that arose directly on the basis of myths), “golden” objects very often appear as a characteristic of a certain “fairy kingdom” or a certain “fairy land”.
But is it gold?..
The manuscripts found during the excavation of one of the tombs in Thebes contained the secrets of "obtaining" gold from copper. It turns out that one had only to add zinc to copper, as it turned into "gold" (the alloy of these elements - brass really resembles gold). True, this "gold" had a drawback: greenish "ulcers" and "rashes" appeared on its surface (unlike gold, brass was oxidized).
According to ancient historians, counterfeit "gold" coins were made in Alexandria. For 330 years BC Aristotle wrote: "In India, copper is mined, which differs from gold only in its taste." Aristotle, of course, was wrong, but one should, however, give credit to his observation. The water from the golden vessel is really tasteless. Some copper alloys are difficult to distinguish from gold in appearance, such as tombac. However, the liquid in such an alloy vessel has a metallic taste. It is obvious that Aristotle speaks about such fakes of copper alloys for gold in his works.
Thus, in the homeland of the gods, rich in copper, much could be made of such "gold" …
The gods ended up on a planet with a deficit (by their standards) of copper and an excess of iron. We must somehow adapt to these conditions.
First, you need to continuously replenish your own body with copper. After all, say, the lifespan of human erythrocytes is only about 120 days, which requires constant replenishment of the body with iron, which goes primarily to hematopoiesis. It should be the same for the gods - only instead of iron, copper.
Secondly, iron is more chemically active than copper. Therefore, getting into the blood of the gods, it must inevitably strive to displace copper from its compounds. In simple terms: an excess of iron is very harmful to the body of the gods, and this excess should be avoided.
The easiest way to make these tasks easier is to follow a specific diet by consuming foods high in copper and low in iron. And here it turns out that the version of copper in the basis of the blood of the gods is capable of fully explaining the "grain choice" of the gods !!!
Let's say, especially a lot of iron is found in legumes, vegetables, berries (for example, strawberries, cherries), meat products. And there is a lot of copper in cereals, cereals, and bread products. It would seem that it makes no sense for a person to switch from hunting and gathering to agriculture, because the necessary iron in abundance is literally "under feet and hands."
But still, under the influence of the gods, a person turns towards the production of food products that are poor in iron, but rich in copper, although copper is enough for a person (say, practically nothing is known about cases of copper deficiency even during pregnancy - in a period when the need for all elements increases sharply). And now we can say that this turn occurs not only under the influence of the gods, but also in their personal interests.
And after all, they did not impose some kind of tribute on people for their own food, which could have been collected from them without a radical change in the way of life of a person. What could be collected from people was not suitable for the gods, so a transition to a "civilized way of life" was needed, without which it would be difficult to organize agricultural work on the scale necessary for the gods.
Some details of the transition to agriculture and a sedentary lifestyle make it possible to confirm these conclusions.
For example, the yield of tuberous vegetables is many times higher than the yield of cereals. But there is a lot of iron in such vegetables, and humanity is switching to grains, making it difficult for itself both to solve the issue of providing food in general, and iron in particular. And even at present, in developed countries, it is generally accepted to supplement bakery products with iron in order to compensate for the imbalance of elements.
First, the specifics of the range of sacrifices. The gods, who gave people agriculture and taught them metallurgy and crafts, demanded sacrifices from people in the form of plant products and their derivatives.
Secondly, the vegetarian way of life, rooted in ancient times, in its "philosophical essence", at its core has a desire to "become like the gods" ("to achieve enlightenment", "to touch the highest knowledge", etc. - in the eyes our ancestors it was the same). But as it is now clear, not everything that is useful to the gods is useful to man.

The version of the blood of the gods based on hemocyanin (or other copper compounds) also makes it possible to take a different look at some of the data of mythology.
The addiction of the gods to alcoholic beverages, noted by the author in the article "The Legacy of the Drunken Gods" and easily detected in myths, receives its quite prosaic explanation. It's just that the gods fell into conditions in which their body could not cope on its own with an excess of carbon dioxide (due to the presence of blue blood in the gods). They needed (!!!) to somehow neutralize the excessive acidity of the blood, arising from the "excess" of carbon dioxide in its composition! And the gods used for these purposes the so-called. esterification - the reaction of the formation of esters from alcohol and organic acids contained in the blood. This reaction shifts the equilibrium towards higher pH values, chemically squeezing out harmful carbon dioxide.
This is the reason that the gods taught people how to make alcoholic drinks and put these drinks in one of the first places in sacrifices!
Truly, soma (alcoholic drink of the gods) gave people health, and the gods - "immortality"!..
The legendary catfish, honey, beer, intoxicated kvass, maize drinks (as many as 9 varieties of maize alcoholic drinks were given by the gods to the American Indians, adding them to the list of sacrifices!) - everything went into use. The increased (compared to the norm) concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood of the gods was generated by external earthly factors. What could it be?.. Such an excess of the partial pressure of CO2 in the blood of the gods could only be the result of the fact that the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere was significantly higher than the partial pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere of the home planet of the gods, since the degree of saturation of the body with gases directly depends from their partial pressure in the external environment. This leads to two main options.
Option one. The atmospheric pressure on the planet of the gods is close to that of the earth, but the CO2 content in it is much lower than that of the earth. Certain prerequisites for this option can be found.
First, there may be more "green mass" on the planet of the gods, i.e. plants that actively consume CO2. Then the plants (and, accordingly, their fruits) on the planet of the gods, in comparison with the earthly ones, look simply "giants".
By the way, mythology says that the gods, before transferring any plants to people, first "improved" them. And you can see that cultivated plants differ quite noticeably in size.
Secondly, the low partial pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere of the gods may be due to lower tectonic and volcanic activity, because it is volcanoes that are the "main supplier" of carbon dioxide to the Earth's atmosphere (or were until the time when humanity entered the technogenic stage of its development) …
The lower volcanic activity on the planet of the gods may be due to the fact that the processes of its expansion are much weaker, either ended long ago, or they did not exist at all. For example, their planet is older than ours (which, by the way, is combined with a higher level of development of the civilization of the gods, which is clearly more ancient than ours).
The ancient Sumerians, to whom the gods gave a lot of useful knowledge in various industries, and who literally walked on the oil squishing under their feet, "for some reason" did not think of a more efficient use of this energy source, except to throw stones soaked in oil into the fire (the word for the entire group of oil products as a whole - "naphtha" - comes from the Sumerian "napata" - "stones that burn")! you cannot think of a simple distillation process before using oil!..
The following conclusion is asked: there was simply no expansion of the planet of the gods, since there were no appropriate conditions for this - there was not a sufficient number of hydrides in the core of the planet of the gods. Therefore, there are no gods on the planet and oil, and the gods simply turned out to be unfamiliar with this source of energy. The second possible option. The atmospheric pressure on the planet of the gods is generally lower than on Earth; hence the lower partial pressure of CO2. Then the gods on Earth fell into conditions with increased pressure, i.e. speaking in a professional language, in conditions of hyperventilation.
Some indirect evidence can also be found for this second option.
First of all. In mythology, the gods clearly gravitate towards mountains and hills, and the higher, the lower the pressure.
Secondly. Even for people, the following pattern has been noticed: the better a person is adapted to low blood pressure, the higher his endurance. “Children of the Mountains”, descending to the lowland plains, show miracles of endurance. The mythological gods show the same increased endurance.
Thirdly. Reduced pressure in the atmosphere on the planet of the gods should lead to a sharper fluctuation in temperatures on its surface, because rarefied air cools faster and heats up faster in the rays of the "sun". Consequently, gods who grew up in such conditions should be better adapted to fluctuations in temperature than humans. Indirect confirmation of this conclusion can be found in fairy tales, where the hero, before being admitted to the "magic land", must pass a test for the ability to endure extreme conditions (which proved his belonging to the number of "chosen", involvement with the gods).

If the planet of the gods were in the solar system, then its chemical composition would correspond to a planet very far from the Sun (much further than the Asteroid Belt), and we have only giant planets there, absolutely not adapted for life close to earthly life. Therefore, the planet of the gods is located at another star, which is combined with the fact that the gods "descended from the stars."
But another star may have very different conditions. For example, there may be a weaker magnetic field, which would correspond to a much lower magnetic separation at the stage of formation of its planetary system. That is, more copper and less iron than on Earth can also be contained on a planet that is not so far from the star than our giant planets.
The strange 260-day Mayan calendar, completely absurd from an earthly point of view, but sacred, as given to the Maya by the gods, pushes to the same conclusion. After all, a shorter year also means a faster rotation of the planet around its star, which is typical for planets close to it.
And the last thing. If we proceed from the fact that the magnetic field of a star is associated with its rotation around its axis (after all, a star consists of plasma - ionized matter, and rotating charges, as you know, generate a magnetic field), then the magnitude of its magnetic field will be affected by the size of the star and the speed its rotation. Then we can well assume that the central star of the planet of the gods is smaller than our Sun, perhaps even a dwarf. And the dependence is known: the more massive the star, the shorter its life. So even with a long lifetime of the central luminary of the gods, its light can fade very long ago …

Under a little old "sun" is a quiet old planet. Its bowels are not shaken, volcanoes do not smoke, and there are practically no mountains as such - time has erased everything. Lush vegetation with large fruits is under the gentle rays of the local "sun". There is enough light for them: there are only rare scattered clouds in the sky, rather like a light haze. It rains only towards night, when the air temperature drops sharply. Then the plants greedily absorb moisture, the remains of which merge into streams and rivers of a greenish-blue hue acquired due to the high concentration of copper compounds.
These rivers flow into rather wide, but shallow seas. The shallow depth of the seas with an abundance of "sunshine" also provides an abundance of aquatic plants, among which the living creatures with blue blood float. There are many animals in the sea, as well as on land - there is enough plant food for everyone. The same abundance of vegetation ensures the freshness of the slightly rarefied air.
Machines do not smoke with waste gasoline, drilling rigs do not smoke with incinerated waste - they simply do not exist. In houses decorated with copper alloys, shining with "gold" under the "sun" rays, gods with blue blood, who have long mastered interstellar flights, live …

Let's try to take a closer look at them.
We will not be the first in this. Already very many have tried to portray the gods. But we will try to rely on more specific data.
For example, E. Muldashev tried to reconstruct the appearance of some "Atlanteans" on the basis of the eyes depicted on Tibetan temples and the patterns he calculated for a human face. But he did not take into account that he uses the laws of the human face, and the method of obtaining these laws is far from indisputable. Therefore, let us say "thank you" to him for the idea and take from it only those eyes from Tibetan temples.
Something from the previous will give us an additional detail: the blue color of the skin (and therefore the face) of the gods received a very specific justification.
Some (albeit very "slippery") justification can be given for another characteristic detail of the appearance of the gods. I mean the long ears found in the images of gods from India to Easter Island and which gave rise to the tradition of artificially pulling the earlobes in some peoples.
The factor that can determine the elongation of the ears may well be other proportions of the body (more precisely, the head) of the gods. That is, the head of God, in comparison with the human, in this case should have an elongated shape.
Remember the tradition in some South American tribes to deliberately mutilate the heads of children, clamping them for a long time between boards and achieving an elongated skull shape. But the purpose of this procedure, which is very painful for the child, is to make him look like the gods.
