Video: Why We're Still Not Cloning Humans | Playing God | Spark 2024, May

The evolution of the human race is one of the many mysteries that science tries in vain to explain. On the one hand, if we adhere to the theory of natural selection, the statistical probability of a sudden transformation of the species homo erectus into homo sapiens is zero. On the other hand, evolutionary anomalies in humans are fully consistent with the hypothesis of targeted genetic intervention by some higher intelligence. Which one? If we are talking about gods, then there were these gods of flesh and blood …

Miraculous transformation

200 thousand years ago, a humanoid creature - homo erectus (erectus man) suddenly turned into a homo sapiens (homo sapiens). The primate homo erectus existed for 1.2-1.3 million years without any noticeable changes, spread from Africa to China, Australasia, Europe, and then, possibly due to climatic changes, its population began to decline until it finally disappeared … But while most of the homo erectus species was dying out, the remaining individuals turned into homo sapiens. Their brain volume increased (from 950 to 1450 cc), they gained the ability to speak, their anatomical structure approached the structure of modern humans. Why and how this happened (over a very short period of time) remains unclear until now, despite the fact that many attempts to explain such a leap have been made.

However, special attention was never paid to this miraculous transformation, since it baffled not only the clergy, but also such respected evolutionary scientists as Noam Chomsky and Roger Penrose. After all, applying the system of evolutionary principles to homo sapiens, one would have to come to the paradoxical conclusion that humanity in its present form should not exist at all - such a sharp leap in evolution could not have happened simply because "this can never happen."

The Naked Monkey

Usually, when considering a person as a creature that does not fit into the framework of the theory of evolution, the emphasis is on increasing his brain volume by almost 50% and gaining speech. However, there are still many mysterious moments and temporary incongruities that serious scientists pay attention to, and it is impossible to explain which without attracting the help of the hypothesis of divine or alien intervention.

First of all, the disappearance of the hairline in Homo sapiens is striking. “In a functional sense, a person is completely naked and completely left to the influence of the outside world. And no matter how many hairs we now count on his body, looking through a magnifying glass, there are still very few of them, and this state of affairs requires an explanation,”writes Desmond Morris in his fundamental work“The Naked Ape”.

Comparing Homo sapiens with 4237 other mammalian species, the majority of which are covered with hair in whole or in part, the scientist notes: “The naked monkey (man) stands apart, differing from thousands of hairy, shaggy or woolen apex mammals with its bare skin … If it has hair disappeared, then, obviously, there must have been quite compelling reasons."

The vulnerability of homo sapiens' skin also causes confusion among scientists. In conditions when a man who got on his feet went out into the savannah, where he became an easy prey for predators, it remains to be amazed that his skin, devoid of hair, was and is so fragile in comparison with the skin of other primates.

Many intricate theories have been put forward on this score, but so far no one has offered a truly acceptable explanation. The only conclusion that, apparently, can be drawn from this, based on the principle of gradual changes: during his development, a person spent a long time either in water or in a warm climate.

To all that has been said must be added the "weirdness" associated with food. Most animals swallow food right away, while humans take the luxury of spending time chewing. This, too, could only be reached gradually, that is, as a result of a long period of evolution.

In the image and likeness

In many biblical stories, for example, about the Flood, parallels with other ancient texts are visible, and the story of the creation of mankind, set out in the Holy Scriptures, is not unique.

In one of the Mesopotamian sources, instructions are given that, when creating a person, the main god gives to his assistants:

Take clay from the Foundation of the Earth

And mold a rod out of it.

I will find good, knowledgeable young gods, Who will breathe life into it”.

The Bible also says that man was created from the dust of the earth. And here is the time to remember that the Hebrew word for dust - "tit" mentioned in the Book of Genesis, came from the most ancient - the Sumerian language. In the Sumerian TI. IT means "that which has life." So maybe Adam was created from already living matter?

Then the following operation was carried out: “… The Lord God put the person into a deep sleep and, while he was asleep, took out one of his ribs, and then he fused the skin of the person in the place from which he took out the rib. The Lord God took a rib taken from a man and made a woman out of him."

But is it really a rib? In the Sumerian language, tit can mean both rib and life. So, you can imagine that Adam, in order to create the first woman, was taken from his life substance. Today we would say that this substance is DNA from a cell of the human body.

In the ancient Akkadian source, known by the name of its protagonist - Atrahasis, a hundred stanzas are devoted to the creation of man and much more details are given than in the Book of Genesis. Moreover, there are many gods acting here, performing various functions. One of the gods, Enki, gives orders, and he is assisted by a goddess named Nintu, which in Sumerian means "Lady of the Rib", or "Lady of Life":

“Nintu nibbled off fourteen pieces of clay;

She put seven of them to her right, Seven is on the left.

Wise and learned

The goddess took twice seven births -

Seven were born males, Seven - female.

Birth Goddess

I breathed life into them.

These creatures were people

Created by the Mother Goddess”.

These new creatures are called in the Sumerian texts Lu-Lu, which literally means "mixed". The above words about clay, which the "knowledgeable young gods" turn into a man, may mean that homo sapiens was created as a hybrid of a god and a primitive humanoid creature.

Now, in the XXI century, we can admit the possibility that the processes of creation of people - men and women described in ancient sources - were carried out through the scientific process of cloning Adam and Eve.

Who needed it?

The Bible says that before the creation of man, there was no one to cultivate the land. The Atrahasis, written on a clay tablet five thousand years ago, literally says the following: “When the Earth was still very young, the gods worked, their labor was exhausting, they were exhausted.” It also describes how the gods rebelled against their leader Enlil, who made them work. Then the father of the gods Anu was summoned from heaven so that he would suggest how to live on. A council was arranged, on which the god Enki, also known as Ea, proposed the following solution:

“Let the Goddess of Birth create a simple worker.

Let him plow the land, let him remove the burden of labor from the gods!"

And man was created. And removed the burden of labor from the gods. We can only puzzle over how the immortal gods created us, now forced by their will to work in the sweat of our brow?
