In the Krasnodar Territory, Russian archaeologists have discovered a new monument of the pre-Scythian era. This find will help update the data on the Europioids who lived several millennia before the arrival of the Scythians.

According to the press service of the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in Kizilovaya Balka in the Armavir District of Krasnodar Territory, scientists examined the burial ground, which includes 3 mounds, as a result of which they discovered about 30 burials.

As it turned out, one of the mounds was later, presumably built by the Scythians. It is noted that burials of a horse, a baby and an adult were discovered under the embankment. Moreover, the two remaining mounds presumably belong to a much earlier culture. So far, little is known about them, however, experts say that they were definitely representatives of the Europioids of the Bronze Age culture.

According to the head of the expedition, Andrei Gorodilov, this discovery is important because the place where the burials were discovered is well known earlier for archaeologists. For many years, no one imagined that on the site of this settlement there could be monuments that are associated with the pre-Scythian era.
