No one can say for sure when a person first saw an object flying across the sky. It is only clear that each observer told about him in his own way, apparently adding fantasy and emotions to his story.
However, for some reason it is generally accepted that the era of UFOs began in 1947, when the American Kenneth Arnold saw several unidentified objects in the sky. He certainly didn't know that in fact the UFO phenomenon is as old as mankind. There are many announced and recorded in history cases of observation in the sky of various disks, circles, balls and other mysterious objects, which were explained in a way that was beneficial to the chronicler or narrator.
The oldest known written evidence of UFO sightings is the ancient Egyptian papyrus dating from 1500 BC. which mentions "a bright fiery circle of fire that flies through the air like a bird." The biblical prophet Ezekiel in about 592 BC reports that he saw in the sky "a luminous cloud with fire inside." In 329 BC, the soldiers of Alexander the Great saw in the sky "two silver shields that flew out of the cloud and swept over the army at high speed."
Messages about burning wheels and fiery shields in the sky are found in the works of thinkers and poets of antiquity. "Fire torches" and "balls of fire" were well known in Ancient Egypt, Greece during the time of Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, and in medieval Europe. At the time of Charlemagne in 1118, Kaiser Constantine saw "fiery crosses" in the sky. In 1235, in Japan, the army of the governor Oritsume saw mysterious lights in the sky. The whole army was very frightened, the soldiers almost fled. Reporting to the emperor, Oritsuma reported that he saw luminous circles in the sky that hovered over the place where the troops were stationed.
And in 1345 the population of a small French town was horrified by what they saw: "Burning wheels flew through the air and threw arrows of fire." Later, similar flying and luminous objects were observed in 1361 over the sea in eastern Japan. And in one of the churches in Kosovo, built in the XIV century, there is a fairly well-known fresco depicting a man flying through the sky in an apparatus resembling a rocket.
In April 1526 in Spain "burning barrels in flames and with thunder" flew over one of the churches. In 1566, an amazing phenomenon was observed in the Swiss city of Basel, which became almost world famous for an old engraving depicting mysterious black balls in the sky above the city. They were observed by almost all the inhabitants of Basel, pouring out into the street. Incomprehensible objects stayed in the sky for quite a long time and were clearly distinguishable against the background of the setting sun. Before disappearing, they flashed and acquired a fiery red color.
In recent years, human society has been swept by a wave of reports of various kinds of contacts between people and unknown aliens. Among the "eyewitnesses" one can find pilots and sailors, priests and unbelievers, scientists and semi-literate inhabitants … But it turns out that rumors and opinions about contacts with mysterious creatures have been wandering for millennia. True, for our ancestors, these creatures were angels, demons, spirits, gods. For example, the painting "A Peasant Tempted by a Demon" depicts a strange glowing ball from which a demon emerges. And above the ball is the mystical symbol of the Universe: an eye in a triangle.
Thus, in humanity there has always been a belief that it communicates with mysterious creatures, observes mysterious phenomena and events. People probably do not want to part with the illusion of the existence of distant worlds where brothers in mind live.

Now a number of scientists, modern science fiction writers, authors of numerous theories are trying to support hypothetical assumptions about the extraterrestrial origin of man himself. Say, we are aliens from another cosmic civilization, most likely from a star system located near the star Sirius. And UFOs are devices with the help of which our distant ancestors follow the experiment, that is, people: how they take root in terrestrial conditions alien to them. And their arguments are something like this.
1. A human being from his very birth is absolutely not adapted to existence in earthly conditions. According to Darwin, our closest relatives are primates. But with them everything is different, not human. A chimpanzee has a gestational age of 7, and a gorilla has a gestational age of 9.5 months; they give birth to children who are quite full-term, but weighing only 2 kg. At the same time, the female chimpanzee becomes an adult by the age of 8, the male - by the age of 10. Is it necessary to explain what the children - Homo sapiens - are at this age?
2. Analysis of the situation led mathematicians to the idea that if the force of gravity on Earth was 0.6 of the existing one, then a person, like a cat or a dog, could fall as much as he likes without causing himself noticeable injuries, not to mention a broken bone! Maybe that's why a human child suffers so much, cries, is capricious, sick? It is unbearably hard for him, painful, uncomfortable on this alien Earth, which affects him with its gravitation. So, on the planet-progenitor, from where, presumably, our ancestors once moved, there was a planetary gravity of 0, 6 from the earth?
3. Obviously, this world is alien to us: we did not appear here, did not form here and did not acquire here, an unusually powerful thinking apparatus, which, as scientists assure, we use only 10 percent. Mother nature cannot be so irrational, so wasteful in rewarding a person. intelligence that he is able to use with such a low efficiency.
Perhaps, under different conditions characteristic of the mother's environment, humanity could more effectively realize its mental abilities. And then the whole life could be immeasurably richer, more complex, brighter.
4. Man is the only one who is forced to “dress in other people's skins”. It is not protected from the harsh nature of the Earth by neither scales, nor thick fur, nor thick skin with a layer of fat. There is no other such creature on our planet, so vulnerable and dependent on climatic conditions and the vagaries of the weather. Having lost his clothes, a person is inevitably doomed to death in most of the Earth's territory in the shortest possible time.
It could not, they say, nature, if she is a mother-parent, to be so ruthless to her creation. Evidence of this is terrestrial creatures living both in the depths of the oceans and on the peaks of the Himalayas: in the conditions of existence given to them, they all feel quite normal.
5. In 1984, American geneticists, studying the differences in the hereditary substance of man, concluded that all people on Earth descended from one single foremother. It was 350 thousand years ago. But we also know that "Homo sapiens" began to settle on the Earth only 100 thousand years ago. So in what expanses of space did he wander the other 250 thousand years?
And so on, and so on … And as a result, the conclusion follows: if the ancestral home of mankind is somewhere out there, in the depths of space, it would be strange if our fellow minds did not ask how their relatives are doing! And UFOs are not a mysterious natural phenomenon, but guests and, perhaps, our brothers from that distant planet XI, who come to visit us …
It turns out how simple everything is. And here the evolutionary theory of Charles Darwin, the latest discoveries of archaeologists, research by geneticists and manned astronautics, information from automatic interplanetary probes, and long-term observations of astronomers are simply useless. There is only faith in our ancestors who come to us on UFOs.
But thinking people still try to suggest what is more in this faith: attempts to pass off wishful thinking, fear of unexplored natural phenomena or deliberate fiction. Because, in addition to UFOs, myths about Bigfoot, a prehistoric animal from Loch Ness, Atlantis that went under the water, mysterious submarines that live in the ocean depths and are controlled only by living aliens from space are still in circulation … You can only trust a scientific explanation the empirical material accumulated by mankind. But science, as you know, is skeptical of living aliens from outer space. The nature of the Earth, the conditions for the emergence of life on it are too unique and inimitable. And it is simply useless to look for another such planet in space, and even with living beings similar to man.
