Michel de Nostradamus, better known as "Nostradamus", is perhaps the most famous prophet the world has ever seen.
But besides being a seer, he was also an astrologer, writer and physician!
His most famous and popular work is Les Prophéties, a collection of 942 poetic quatrains said to predict numerous future events.
The first collection of prophecies appeared in 1555 as a collection of verses-quatrains, which the French seer combined in ten sets of poems ("Ages"), 100 quatrains each.
The predictions written by Nostradamus do not appear to follow chronological sequence and were written in a mixture of French, Greek, Latin and Occitan.
It is believed that his predictions contained anagrams, mythological and astrological references, written in a subjective language that makes him very difficult to understand.
Scholars who have studied his work claim that Nostradamus did this on purpose to evade the Holy Inquisition, fearing persecution for heresy due to his ability to foresee the future.

Nostradamus and his journey into the occult

Many scholars and skeptics believe that most of the quotes we see on the Internet and in prophetic books are quotes that have been reinterpreted and adjusted accordingly in our time in retrospect to fit a historical event.
