Strange glowing objects have been spotted off Cape Lookout in North Carolina, USA. The objects were recorded on video on November 13, 2018 by a group of fishermen who settled on the coast for night fishing and wished to remain anonymous.
The recording lasted over one and a half minutes. The fishermen managed to record the moment when two bright objects appeared in the night sky near the horizon, visually hovering in this place above the water. The objects appeared to be circular, but there is a possibility that this was due to their high brightness, which led to "flare" when recording on the camera. Approximately 50 seconds after the start of recording, 2 other triangular shapes appeared above the objects.
For some time, all 4 objects "hovered" in place and increased the intensity of their glow, after which the two lower ones faded and disappeared altogether. The place of attenuation is above the horizon, which was quite visible at that time of the day, so it cannot be said for sure that the objects went down to the water surface.
The remaining 2 objects continued to "hang" in place, increasing the intensity of their glow, until their shape on the camera also turned into a round one. It is important to note an interesting feature - such paired lights are often confused with floodlights that are installed on airliners. However, floodlights have clear directional illumination in front of planes, and we usually see them when they fly towards us. But the video clearly shows that the objects illuminate the clouds under the objects, that is, the light from the objects diverges not only towards the camera, but also downwards or even in all directions.

The video mentioned by Scott did show a very similar situation with similar lights and similar behavior of objects. The time difference between the surveys (almost 4 years) shows that this activity near the east coast of the United States continues. We have mapped these two places so that we can estimate the scale.
