It has been reported that unidentified airborne phenomena (UFOs) encountered by military, commercial and civil aircraft are structured aircraft exhibiting "impossible" flight characteristics.

We review several well-documented UFO encounters, including the 2004 collision with the Nimitz Carrier Group off the coast of California, and estimate the lower bounds for the vehicle's acceleration during observed maneuvers.

The calculated accelerations vary from 100 gf to 1000 gauss without observed air disturbance, without sound shocks and without signs of excessive heating, commensurate with even the minimum estimated energies.

According to observations, the estimated parameters describing the behavior of these vessels are both anomalous and unexpected.

Extreme flight ratings indicate that these ships exhibit technology far more advanced than any known aircraft on Earth.

In many cases, the number and quality of witnesses, the variety of roles they played in encounters with UFOs, and the equipment used to track and register UFOs support the hypothesis that this is indeed a technologically advanced aircraft.

At the moment, it is difficult to draw any definitive conclusions regarding the nature and origin of these UFOs, except for the fact that these objects cannot belong to any known aircraft or missile using modern technology.

We have characterized the accelerations of several UFOs and demonstrated that if they are artificially created, then they are truly anomalous, demonstrating technical capabilities far superior to those of our fastest aircraft and spacecraft.

It is not clear if these UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin, but it is extremely difficult to imagine that anyone on Earth had this level of technology at their disposal.

Although earlier sightings are less reliable, sightings of apparently similar UFOs are a thing of the past long before the beginning of the era of flight of terrestrial aircraft.

Taken together, these observations strongly suggest that these UFOs must be carefully studied by scientists.

Unfortunately, the relation to the study of UFOs has the status of "unscientific" and this attitude penetrates the scientific community, including the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence), which is surprising, especially in connection with the fact that efforts are being made to search for extraterrestrial artifacts in the solar system, in particular, on the Moon, Mars, asteroids and in the Lagrange points associated with the Earth.

Ironically, this attitude has hampered scientific research, perpetuating a state of ignorance about these phenomena that has persisted for more than 70 years, which is especially detrimental today, as answers are now required.

Unidentified aerial phenomena (UFOs), partially identified as unknown anomalous aircraft, called unidentified anomalous vehicles (UAVs) or unidentified flying objects (UFOs), have been observed for a long time around the world.

Such phenomena have been formally studied by the US Air Force in a number of projects: Project Sign (1947), Project Grudge (1949), and Project Blue Book (1952-1969).

Other countries have also studied UFOs such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, New Zealand, Russia (former Soviet Union), Spain, Sweden, Great Britain, Uruguay and the Vatican, have also done research, or are currently are studying UFOs.

In December 2017, it became known that the United States government was studying UFOs under at least one secret program called the Anomalous Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and that there were cases of US Navy pilots dealing with almost daily UFO sightings. …

These unidentified aircraft usually exhibit abnormal flight characteristics such as moving at extremely high speeds, changing direction or accelerating at extremely high speeds, and hovering motionless for extended periods of time.

Additionally, these ships appear to violate the laws of physics in the sense that they have no flight or control surfaces, no visible means of propulsion that clearly violate Newton's third law, and they can operate in multiple environments such as space. (low earth orbit), air and water without visible interference, sonic booms or thermal discharges.
