An unknown creature resembling the famous Scottish monster was filmed on Lake Hanto in the city of Noyabrsk in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The photos were taken by Russian Dmitry Kim, who went for a jog to the lake shore and was amazed by what he saw.

Dmitry Kim filmed something that looked like a white head and part of the body of an unknown creature leaning out of the water from the shore of Lake Hanto. Now he is sure that he saw the Russian counterpart of the Loch Ness monster - the famous mythical monster in Scotland. The Russian was jogging in the morning when the "monster" in the water caught his attention. Then Kim quickly took out his phone to take a photo.

“I understand that this is impossible, but the silhouette of this creature reminded me of the Loch Ness monster,” said Dmitry Kim. He added that he "froze there and did not move."

The unknown creature has a long neck in the pictures, like the famous Scottish monster.

The Russian who filmed him noted that, according to local legends, swans once lived on the lake, but what he saw did not bear any resemblance to a bird.

Kim's photographs were published in the British media and sparked a lively discussion. Commentators immediately had many theories of their own.

One suggested that local companies are pouring waste into the lake, which creates a perfect environment for monsters to spawn. Another expressed the opinion that it could be a mermaid, and the third one decided that this creature had dropped in to Noyabrsk to visit from Alaska. "In any case, getting out of there on a visit is much closer than from the Scottish Highlands."
