Residents of the village of Sukhoborie and the village of Yaman, Gryazinsky district, have long been not surprised by the inexplicable natural phenomena in these places. They also got used to UFO sightings.
Rotten swamp
It is believed that the place here is abnormal, there is a lot of devilry. And there are many confirmations of this. One of them is associated with a swamp in the Yamansky reserve, two kilometers from the Sukhoborsky cordon. Not only among the people, but also on topographic maps, this swamp is called Pogany. And it is no coincidence. Where the coast adjoins the road, car accidents constantly occur. Drivers know about a sharp turn, but stubbornly continue to go straight and fly away into the coastal reeds. This is the first thing.
Secondly, here mushroom pickers manage to get lost in three pines. They walk around the swamp, and find themselves eight kilometers away in the village of Dvurechki. The third bad omen is that birds do not fly over the Foul Swamp. There are no boar trails here either. The fourth attack is the mass of crooked trees growing straight out of the water. The trunks do not stretch up, but in different directions. And the bark of many of them is burnt - ball lightning is not uncommon here. And the larger glowing balls over Pogany were observed more than once.

Radiation bypassed
The fifth, perhaps the main and still inexplicable sign of the local anomalous zone appeared in 1986 after the Chernobyl disaster. The Sukhoborsky cordon, where the sanatoriums "Lesnaya Skazka", "Prometheus" and "Sukhoborie" are located, are 10 km from the village of Dvurechki. And on the other side of the health resorts, after 15 km, Usmansky district begins. So … And in Dvurechki, and near Usman at the end of April 1986, a mass of radioactive fallout fell. But the area of Sukhoborie, for some reason, bypassed the lethal radiation. Dozens of times ecologists have checked the sanatorium with dosimeters, but they have not found anything.
- Our zone is really anomalous. It is no coincidence that it is called Dry Borie. That is, a dry forest here, where it never rains. In the neighboring Dvurechki it can rain for days, but not a drop here. But tornadoes do happen, pulling out huge trees with roots,”local resident Yury Neklyudov told LipetskMedia.
UFO raised a hurricane
The most memorable tornado was on the night of June 26, 2012. The hurricane broke pines like matches and scattered them through the forest. Foresters removed 130 fat fallen trunks from only one "Prometheus" road. And nearby, on the Semikolenov farm, the wind did not knock down a single tree. Why's that? It turned out that just before the hurricane a UFO flew over the village of Sukhoborie, which was described in detail by federal TV.
- We were about to go to bed when we noticed an unusual glow. From the direction of Lipetsk, absolutely silently, smoothly and rather slowly, a blindingly bright pulsating ball was moving directly towards us. Then it split into two objects that floated over the tops of the pines, recalls NLMK employee Lyubov Perova.
The phenomenon was witnessed by dozens of vacationers of the Sukhoborie sanatorium, who filmed the UFO with their mobile phones. As soon as the objects disappeared, the wind rose and grew into a hurricane. Having broken hundreds of pines, he died as unexpectedly as it began.
Night Sun or Second Moon
Near Sukhoborie and Yaman there is the village of Karamyshevo, which can be considered the third corner of the "Bermuda" triangle of the Lipetsk region, where UFOs appear quite often.
- We went fishing in Karamyshevo. At five in the morning I pumped up the rubber boat. It's dark all around, even if you gouge out your eye. But suddenly the right bank was lit up with a bright flash of some kind of fireball, - LipetskMedia resident Viktor Barkov told Lipetsk Media.
Barkov and his comrades at first perceived the phenomenon as an unexpectedly rising moon. But it did not shine with a cold light, but was fiery, like the Sun, only very small. Looking around, the fishermen saw a lunar crescent, but from the opposite side and almost at its zenith.
The men looked nervously at their watches. There was an hour before sunrise. Yes, and the object did not illuminate the whole area in the sun, but only a small section of the opposite bank of the river. And then there was darkness.
Plasma melted into the sky
One of the eyewitnesses suggested that it was ball lightning. But there was not a cloud in the sky and nothing foreshadowed a thunderstorm. They expressed the opinion that it was a balloon or a probe, but they immediately rejected this version. Because aircraft launched from Earth do not glow by themselves, but only reflect the sun's rays. And this object clearly glowed, resembling a plasma clot.
- The object was quite low above the ground. This is evidenced by the shadows of trees reflected in the water. But what is the distance to it, we could not determine. We observed the fireball for about five minutes. And then it began to fade, turned into a luminous cloud, and then completely disappeared into the pre-dawn sky, says Viktor Barkov.
According to the fisherman, this is not the first time he has observed such phenomena. While serving in the army in Western Ukraine in the late 70s, Barkov several times saw fireballs suddenly appearing and then suddenly disappearing in the Carpathian region. In those years in the USSR, no one heard anything about flying saucers, and an abbreviation such as UFO did not exist. And the command of the military unit explained the appearance of plasma clots only as an atmospheric phenomenon such as a mirage. And here again the "mirage", but in the Lipetsk region.
- We immediately forgot about fishing. And they started looking at the pictures on the phone. When you zoom in, you can see that the object is not a disk or a crescent, but an oval like an egg. So we saw not the sun rising at night and not the second moon, but something else. The pictures also show that thermal radiation comes from the bright oval. This also confirms that we most likely saw exactly UFOs, - says Viktor Barkov.
Laughing, the eyewitness added that all the fishermen were absolutely sober. They don't believe in devilry, flying saucers and alien intelligence. But they could not find an explanation for what they saw.
