In different parts of the planet, people sometimes hear a hum that comes as if from under the ground. Feeling as if mechanisms or diesel generators are working somewhere in the depth. Moreover, this work is not carried out around the clock, but at intervals, as is the case where there is some kind of production. Only it is hidden deep underground.
Underground drone in the anomalous zone
For the first time in our expeditionary practice, Valery Moskalev, a man with extrasensory inclinations, who came to the anomalous zone "Medveditskaya Ridge" in the Volga region at the invitation of members of the "Cosmopoisk" organization, drew attention to the vague hum from the ground. We went there every summer to explore the mysterious area. After a couple of nights in the tent camp, Valery took me aside.
- Do you hear the humming underground? - he asked.
- Well, something seems to be heard, but it is most likely the noise of cars on the highway …
- Yeah, twenty kilometers from the road? And the highway is not to Moscow or Saratov, but much more modest … No, the hum is coming from the ground, I have been listening to it for the second day. He has different periods of work and breaks.
I began to listen too. Indeed, sometimes there is no noise, although during the daytime traffic of cars on the highway, it must have been present. But the hum was quite distinctly manifested in the evening. By one in the morning, he fell silent. The source of the sound is difficult to determine: a slight hum was in the air, covering the camp territory up to half a kilometer in diameter.

If this is not a highway, then we had no choice but to connect the incomprehensible buzz with the tunnels discovered in the 90s by Vadim Chernobrov, the head of the all-Russian association “Cosmopoisk”. These underground structures are the most mysterious in the anomalous zone. Nobody ever did them! Is that in the Old Testament times, and the memory of the unknown builders did not remain.
The tunnels stretch across the entire zone for many kilometers at a depth of 8 to 30 meters and are straight galleries with a diameter of 7 to 22 meters. The structure is clearly artificial, similar to a subway! The tunnels branch off, and it looks like one of the long passages was right below our camp. Attempts to get there through the pits ended in failure: the dug wells were flooded with water. The feeling is as if unknown forces were not letting the search engines to the secret of the underground network.
If you trace the direction of the tunnels, then they go from somewhere from the north towards the Caucasus. But if the hum was coming from there, it means that some secret activity is being conducted there. Whether this is due to the underground movements of any transport, or to an incomprehensible production, or to the generation of radiation like radio waves for communication with space or as a radio drive for UFOs, one can only guess. However, so far all these are only hypotheses: the secret of the underground rumble in the anomalous zone has not been solved.
Humming in geopathogenic places
The problem of the incomprehensible rumble reminded of itself again after a television film, which spoke about an Indian tribe in America, where the whole village suffers from a constant hum coming from nowhere and causing severe headaches. Sometimes even with bleeding from the ears. Many residents of the reservation with tears in their eyes asked to be resettled from here.

She said that 20 years ago, when there were very frosty winters, this roar from the street did not give her rest day or night, and walking the section to work at the Energozhilindustrproekt institute was a pain. She thought that the source of the noise came from the nearby Meteor plant and often complained about the irresponsible people working there, preventing the entire 7th quarter from living in peace. Imagine the surprise of Lyudmila Dmitrievna when, by chance, in a conversation, it turned out that she was the only one who hears this rumble, nothing bothers others.
“Then the winters got warmer, this rumble, unbearable in winter, stopped, and gradually everything was forgotten,” she finished the story. - But the plot of the film reminded of that strange hum.
The rumble of Taos
The sources of annoying noise remain unidentified, although the Internet is full of information about the "hum" of the Earth. He was even given the name "drone of Taos" - after the name of the very Indian village where all residents suffer from a strong hum. According to them, the hum is similar to the idling of a diesel engine. The whole problem is that only the Indians themselves hear it - the visiting researchers did not record anything, only the instruments recorded some anomalies. It turns out something like a collective pathology, when the noise is in the heads of the villagers, and not outside. Or they all have an increased sensitivity to unusual vibrations.
However, the village of Taos is not at all alone here. There are many places on Earth where people are disturbed by a strange buzz. In the British village of Woodland, all 300 people of the population do not sleep every night because of strong noise from midnight to four in the morning ("AN" has already written about this - Ed.). They are also heard in various places in the United States, in northern Europe, in New Zealand, Auckland and elsewhere. The residents of Woodland even organized a watch to find the culprit of the hum. And this is clearly not a noise in the head - a low-frequency sound is spread in the air, transmitting vibration to the walls of houses and furniture in apartments.
While there are several versions of the earthly drone. One of them is the Earth's own noise, which is emitted by the planet at a low frequency. The discovery was made by American geophysicists in 1997 and was confirmed by scientists in other countries. For unknown reasons, the intensity of the sound sometimes increases, and then it becomes audible. On the other hand, this hum can resonate, amplified by underground voids or special layers-rocks of the Earth. The version about underground tunnels allegedly crossing the Earth in different directions is also very curious. Their many kilometers of sections and fragments have been discovered in various parts of the planet.
