Walled Ichan-Kala is located in the historical part of the city of Khiva. Uzbekistan. In Ichan - Kala there are about 60 architectural monuments and more than 400 residential buildings of that time. The construction of Ichan-Kala began in 1598. The height of the wall of Ichan-Kala is up to 10 meters, the thickness is 5-6 meters and the length is 2650 meters.
Judging by the archaeological data, some sections of the wall still existed in the 5th-6th centuries, as a stop at the Kheivak well.
According to legend, this well was dug by Shem, the son of the biblical Noah, and his water tasted amazing. Outside the walls of the old city there is a citadel - Kunya-Ark. She was one of the khan's residences. It was built in 1686-1688 by the son of Anush Khan, Arang Khan.
The legend says that the citadel of the city was built of the same clay as Medina, the lake from which the clay was taken is considered sacred. Also there is the Kalta-Minar Minaret. Built in 1855. According to the plans of Muhammad Amin Khan, he was conceived as the largest in the Muslim East and wanted it to be 80 meters, but construction stopped at a height of 29 meters, due to the death of Muhammad Amin Khan.

And according to legend, it is said that the emir of Bukhara learned about the construction of a minaret and wanted to build the same at home, he agreed with the master, and the Khiva Khan, having learned about this, gave the order to kill the master after construction. And when the master found out about this, he fled, leaving Kalta-Minar unfinished.
In Ichan-Kala there is the Tash-Khauli Palace - the main palace of the Khiva khans. It was built in 1838. Allakuli Khan wanted the palace to be built in 2 years, and built in 8 years.
