Despite the provocative title of the article, let's take the issue of "the origin of man on Earth" seriously, and we will move in accordance with the texts of the Sumerian civilization.
Admittedly, the universal phylogenetic tree is our Everything! But what if "Darwin was wrong"?
Like many other documents from different cultures of the world that know about the origin of man, Sumerian clay tablets tell the story of how the GODS created and then modified man in their own image and likeness.

In traditional Sumerian mythology, at the beginning of time, humanoid "gods" ruled our planet. When the gods descended from heaven, an excessive amount of hard work awaited them here, because they literally subjected the Earth to terraforming in order to make it habitable. And paying tribute to the gods, I will note that it was an invaluable and extremely hard work, and there were many disasters.
The origin of mankind, according to the Sumerian records, is extremely interesting, although somewhat confusing. But according to the history of creation, Anu, the main god of the ancient Sumerians, saw that the work on earth was too great.
Then the son of Anu, Enki, after long deliberation, found a way out in a grandiose idea: it is necessary to create such a kind of creatures that, having multiplied on the planet, will carry all the hard work, and therefore the gods created man.
One of the gods even gave his life for the implementation of the idea. He was put to death to mix his blood with the clay of the Earth. From the resulting mixture, or rather the genetic biomass, the flesh of the first man was molded, of course formed in the image and likeness of the Creators.
Perhaps the god was killed along with his personality, but he can firmly say to the reigning gods: I have removed the hard work from you … I have shifted the hard work to the man … now they will be mining resources useful for us.
Nevertheless, as a result of his greatest sacrifice, man was born from the original clay mixture. And now in each of us, in the code of the genome, there is a particle of the soul of the ancient gods, we are firmly connected with them by blood relationship. The very same sacrament of "birth" of man apparently took place in Eden.
Mysterious Eden (or, to put it simply, a scientific laboratory) is described in the epic of Gilgamesh as the garden of the gods, once located in the region of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, in ancient Mesopotamia. Eden is a Sumerian word that can be understood as “flat land”.
An interesting fact can be distinguished from the Sumerian History of Creation, which says that initially, a man created by the gods was not able to have descendants, which is why the gods in the person of Enki and his sister "modified" humanity.
After the gods modified humanity, Adapa was created as a fully functional human who gained the ability to reproduce. But there were also intrigues, because as it turns out, the "modification" was carried out without the approval of Enlil, which created a conflict between the gods.
Thus, Enlil became the first enemy of man, and in accordance with the texts of the ancient Sumerians, mankind went through a very difficult time serving the gods.
As we well know, there is an amazing similarity between the history of the creation of ancient Sumer and other ancient cultures and religions around the globe, but, curiously, in all of them, we learn - humanity is literally CREATED by Gods in their own image!
What about natural evolution? - but we do not have any certifying signs of the correctness of the theory. Worse, the research of modern geneticists declares that if you really want to somehow portray the metaphor of the origin and relationship of species, then rather in the form of an impassable slum. By the way, Darwin himself commented on the theory of evolution in about the same spirit.
