When I was studying at the Geological Prospecting Institute, I explored sand pits, ravines, river cliffs with great enthusiasm and tried to recreate the Earth's past using them. A little later, in graduate school and at the Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences and Moscow State University, he went on expeditions and studied the sections of rocks in the mountains and on the seashore and carried out paleogeographic and paleogeodynamic reconstructions of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. They formed the basis of my Ph. D. thesis, which was called "Paleogeodynamic analysis …". My research was based on the principle of actualism by Charles Lyell, which I have been defending all this time and continue to defend against the attacks of creationists to this day.

The principle of actualism was substantiated by the English geologist Charles Lyell in the first half of the 19th century. According to this principle, studying modern physical, chemical, geological and geographical processes, one can judge about similar processes in the distant past. The principle of actualism is the scientific basis of historical-geological and paleogeographic research; It is widely used in the reconstruction of landscapes and geographical processes of past eras, in paleovolcanology, lithology (the study of sedimentary rock formation) and other areas of geology. At the same time, modern paleogeographers and geologists refused to recognize the complete analogy between geographical and geological processes in the past and the present, on which Lyell insisted, and apply the principle of actualism, taking into account the course of the development of the Earth, its geographic shell, geological structure (Geography. A modern illustrated encyclopedia. - M.: Rosman. Edited by prof. A. P. Gorkin. 2006).

In the 90s of perestroika, geology became an unnecessary science, and I began to try myself in other areas of the national economy, until, finally, I stopped at publishing. But my passion for geological expeditions and exploring the past stayed with me all the time. I began to combine them with another old hobby of folklore and began to find analogies between the descriptions of events in ancient books and legends and geological reconstructions.

Thus, a new direction of research was born at the intersection of geology and folklore.

It is my deep conviction that without him it is impossible to restore the history of the Earth and mankind. First of all, because the catastrophes terrible in force, which repeatedly shook our planet, washed away almost all traces of the activities of intelligent beings from it. Plato wrote about this in his famous dialogues Timaeus and Laws.

… bodies revolving in the firmament around the Earth deviate from their paths, and therefore at certain intervals everything on Earth perishes from a great fire. At such times, the inhabitants of mountains and elevated or dry places are subject to more complete extermination than those who live near rivers or the sea …

Promotional video:

When the gods, creating cleansing over the Earth, flood it with waters, the boar herds and herders in the mountains can survive, while the inhabitants of your cities are carried away by streams into the sea …

… every time you and other peoples have time to develop writing and everything else that is necessary for city life, again and again, at the appointed time, streams rush down from heaven like a pestilence, leaving only the illiterate and unlearned from all of you. And you start all over again all over again, as if you were just born, knowing nothing about what happened in ancient times in our country or among you (Plato. Timaeus)

The ancient books and legends that survived the fires and floods contain a whole layer of information about the highly developed civilizations that existed on Earth, the appearance, lifestyle and habits of its disappeared inhabitants, periods of peace and wars between gods and demons, and terrifying destruction that repeatedly shook the world. However, modern science History and Archeology does not take legends and myths with the seriousness they deserve. Even if one or another specialist admits that the legends are an echo of the events that actually happened on Earth, he tries to fit them into the chronological framework that is accepted in modern history and archeology. And they are very narrow and rarely go beyond the III-IV millennia BC.

But I, a geologist who has been studying the consequences of global catastrophes for a long time and who has written several works on this topic, and who has been interested in folklore almost all my life, know well that many events described in legends, such as the Creation of the world by Yahweh or Allah, the immersion of the Earth into the bowels of Patala (the underworld) and its overlap by the waters that gushed from there, the churning of the ocean by gods and demons and the appearance of the moon, the enormous temperature of the Earth's surface and the inability to live on it, the planet's immersion in darkness and the existence of its intelligent inhabitants for a long time underground, and many others cannot be accommodated in the 5-6 thousand years that are allotted for this.

During the last 5-6, and even 10-12 thousand years there have been no events on Earth that even remotely resemble those described in the legends. But, as soon as you begin to compare legends with reconstructions of the history of the Earth according to geological data, then almost every event described in them finds its analogies, only the time when it happened sinks into the immensely distant past. I wrote about this in detail in my books "The Disappeared Inhabitants of the Earth", "The Battles of the Ancient Gods", "The Earth Before the Flood …". And presented on the site reconstruction in the section "History of mankind from the Paleogene to the Nativity", made on the basis of a comparison of geological and folklore data.

Continuing research at the intersection of geology and folklore allowed me to see the underwater-underground-terrestrial megalithic complex of the Neogene (most likely, Miocene) age widespread on Earth. Its outputs, and in large numbers, are in Russia, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Malta, Italy, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, USA, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, the seabed and near Cuba, the USA, Japan and in many other areas of the globe (both on the continents and at the bottom of the oceans). This complex is the subject of my articles "Underwater-underground-terrestrial megalithic complex - the ruins of cities and settlements of the Neogene period that survived catastrophes and floods", "Megalithic structures of Bolivia, Israel, Turkey and Russia - fragments of an underwater-underground-terrestrial megalithic complex, covering the whole world "," Underwater megalithic structures - part of the underwater-underground-terrestrial megalithic complex, covering the whole world "and others. Their conclusions were continued by the results of my new field studies in a series of later publications on underground-terrestrial megalithic complexes in Turkey (and here) and Sri Lanka.

Research at the intersection of geology and folklore also allowed me to highlight the vast fields of Neogene (Middle Miocene) roads in Central Anatolia in Turkey, confirming the tales and legends about the highly developed civilizations that inhabited the earth in ancient times. The same ancient stone roads of Miocene, Pliocene and even earlier age are found in Malta, Mexico, USA, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Abkhazia, Crimea, Bulgaria …

But that's not all. Research at the intersection of geology and folklore allows for even greater wonders. As I wrote in the works "Ica Stones - Messages from Tulan-Chimostok 17 Million Years Ago" and "Images of a Basilisk and Other Unknown Animals", images and bas-reliefs of animals are applied on the Ica stones found in Peru and on the temples in the Angkor temple complex in Cambodia (mastodons, dinotherium, alticamilus, hyracodonts, aminodonts, indricotherium and others) that lived in the Paleogene and disappeared from the face of the Earth in the Neogene (including in its first half - the Miocene). Moreover, they are often depicted together with people who, in their morphology, are not quite human. Omitting the existence of intelligent mankind in the Neogene and Paleogene times, as evidenced by studies at the junction of geology and folklore, this looks quite natural. As well as the fact that the stone sculptures and bas-reliefs of Aslantash, Aslankai and other places in the Phrygian valley and the capital of the Hittite Empire, Hattushash, depict not modern lions, but Machairodus giganteus, which appeared in the Middle Miocene (15 million years ago) and finally died out in the Pleistocene.

Summarizing all of the above, we can conclude that a large number of places have survived on Earth, in which there is an equally large amount of material remnants of civilizations of the Neogene period. You just need to discard pseudo-scientific dogmas and beliefs (which for some reason, on the contrary, are considered scientific) and see them. To look at the world not with the narrow gaze of an archaeologist, historian or geologist, but with the broad gaze of a universal specialist who is equally well aware of history, archeology, geology and folklore. And then the past of the Earth will appear before our eyes as a bright "wide-format" panorama, and not as a ghostly mirage of a non-existent earth that has emerged for a moment because of the fog.

I have already written several times about the fallacy of determining the age of megalithic and underground structures by the coals, scraps of clothing or clay shards contained in them. However, almost none of the archaeologists still pays attention to this. And it continues to date stone structures that were destroyed by the strongest earthquakes, were flooded with the waters of giant floods and were absorbed by the flames of fires raging on the Earth's surface over these dubious remnants, which could fall into them after many millions of years. This is because most archaeologists still do not use in their work (although they have recently faced such a task) geological methods for determining the age of rocks. And there are many of them - for example, determining the absolute age of minerals from the crusts of hydrothermal rocks and weathering, covering the megalithic structures - and they all indicate that the megalithic and most underground structures are many tens, hundreds of thousands and millions of years old.
