Russian scientist Dmitry Shiller plunged into the ice lake Labynkyr in Yakutia, which is called another Loch Ness. This achievement may be in the Guinness Book of Records, the Russian Geographical Society said in a statement.

In addition, earlier, with the help of a telezone at the bottom of the lake, scientists managed to find the remains of the jaws and skeleton of a large animal.

Lake Labynkyr is known for its geographic anomalies (the depth of the reservoir in the crack reaches 80 m) and, according to rumors, an unknown creature may live in it, which the locals called the second Loch Ness monster.

This was the first ever dive of a scuba diver in Labynkyr Lake. Moreover, it is immediately winter, when the ambient temperature is 42 degrees below zero. At the same time, the water did not freeze, its temperature was plus two degrees. And this is also, by the way, a mystery, says the curator of the project of the Russian Geographical Society Tatyana Nefedova:

- Even in severe frost, up to minus 60, there are polynyas, that is, places where water does not freeze. Scientists cannot explain why this is happening. The average depth of the lake is about 52 meters, while at the bottom there is an anomalous crack, which increases the depth to 75-80 meters.

Dmitry Shiller plunged into this lake depression almost 80 meters deep. Apparently, with the hope of revealing the main secret of Labynkyr. Local residents are sure that a huge monster lives there. Moreover, this legend is confirmed by serious scientists, notes Tatyana Nefedova:

- This strange creature was seen in about the 50s of the last century by the head of the geological party of the East Siberian branch of the Academy of Sciences, Viktor Aleksandrovich Tverdokhlebov, who described some strange huge animal. Described in great detail, and such an eyewitness could not be trusted. Since then, a variety of hypotheses have been put forward regarding the nature of this animal. It was assumed that it was because of his life that the lake did not freeze.

Then in the 50s Viktor Tverdokhlebov wrote that “some kind of animal” was seen in the lake, which resembled a dark gray oval carcass with two symmetrical white spots, like eyes, from which something like a stick was sticking out.
