Anatoly Solomatin, a resident of the village of Prokhorovka, Penza Region, never thought that he would face them in life - however, it turned out that these wonderful creatures live much closer to us than we think …
MYSTERIOUS DOOR
Anatoly could not even imagine that one day he would be in the center of the most interesting events. He worked as a children's illustrator, was early widowed and raised his daughter alone. Their small house had been in need of renovation for a long time, and, at last, having received a fee for another illustrated book, Solomatin decided to start rebuilding some of the premises.
He had almost finished all the chores in the house when one of the volunteers - neighbors - called him under the stairs. Under the steps in the twilight, they found a strange door about fifteen centimeters high without a handle and a keyhole, but decorated with intricate script, similar to Arabic.
“What is that at you, in the underground door? - the friends who helped Anatoly with repairs had fun. - Yes, even Masha will not get through there! Why did you make it here?"
Friends were sure that it was Solomatin himself who for some reason cut out a door on a wooden wall and painted it. However, Anatoly did not even know that there was some kind of "secret passage" under his stairs.
Solomatin and three of his friends tried to open the door, but they did not succeed. Although they tried to "pick up" the door with different tools, and there was a void behind it, it did not work to open a passage to an unknown room, which was hidden by a door without a handle.

And the next day Anatoly first of all climbed under the stairs and … did not find the door there! Struck, he knocked on the entire wall, where yesterday, together with his neighbors, he saw the "entrance". The friends who came to help were also amazed at the disappearance of the door. Having found no explanation for the mysterious phenomenon, they continued the renovation.
WAYS TO A FAIRY TALE
It seems that the story with the door was soon to be forgotten, but after a few days it received an unexpected continuation. Nine-year-old Masha, returning from school and having done her homework, suddenly ran to her father, frightened and excited. "Let's go, dad, let's go!" - she literally dragged Anatoly to the nursery.
It turned out that the daughter had dropped the handle under the table and, bending down, found a small door - as Anatoly was convinced, an exact copy of the one under the stairs. The girl knocked playfully, and the door opened almost immediately. Masha saw behind her a room with a small fireplace in the corner. When she tried to reach the fireplace with her hand, some unknown force pushed her hand out and slammed the door.
The next day, the second door also disappeared. And the mysterious events continued.
Soon, rumors began to circulate around Prokhorovka that mysterious little doors appeared in one or another house, which were dubbed "doors to a fairy tale." In total, the inhabitants of the village found about twenty more similar doors. But a strange thing: the doors appeared and disappeared in order to appear in a completely different place.
Only one of them, which appeared in the village coffee shop, as appeared, never disappeared. Another, found under the window of a toy store, was constantly changing its size. The third was spotted in the wall of an old dilapidated bakery. All the doors were covered with a fancy oriental ornament, never seen by anyone in these places.
The participants in the events have not yet come to a common opinion about the nature of this mysterious phenomenon. Where did the doors come from and what is hidden behind them? Who could afford to craft so many small masterpieces of carved art? And how could they disappear without a trace, leaving behind a flat spot? There are no craftsmen capable of this in the vicinity of Prokhorovka.
DANCES OF THE FAIRIES
A few months after the doors appeared, some residents of Prokhorovka witnessed another wondrous phenomenon.
A flock of strange translucent creatures resembling dragonflies, but with miniature human bodies, appeared over the flower beds of the village garden. According to eyewitnesses, they appeared completely unexpectedly - right out of thin air. “Weaved,” as one of those who saw the miracle said.
The miniature creatures fluttered over the flower beds for about ten minutes, performing something like a dance. While this dance lasted, everyone who was present lost their sense of time. It seemed to them that the action lasted about ten minutes, but in fact, when the transparent creatures disappeared, it was already dusk.
Confirmation of the old legends that a person who was captured by the "fairies" could leave them in a hundred years, at first frightened the inhabitants of Prokhorovka, but then the locals decided that the new "neighbors" were not doing anything bad, so it is quite possible to get along with them.
When the dancing transparent creatures appeared again, some of the unwilling spectators were able to get rid of the glamor, simply by stopping to observe the guests from another world.
Now Prokhorovka lives as she lived before. True, people are already accustomed here to every now and then appearing doors to the “other world”. And transparent dances have become a common sight, repeated every month. Even on frosty winter days one could see a round dance of transparent fairies circling in the central park.
Many children claim that at various times they managed to look into the rooms outside the doors. And their parents believe that, probably, fairies allow communication only with those who still cannot study them or offend …
