Asgardia is looking for residents, you can register online for free.

The founders of Asgardia are pretty serious about their project. The space kingdom is named after the heavenly city in Scandinavian mythology (Asgard is the world in which the Scandinavian gods live - ases, ed.). "Construction" of the kingdom began 20 months ago, but Asgardia has already attracted more than 200 thousand subscribers, despite the fact that the state is orthodox, its head is the president of the project - Igor Ashurbeyli, a Russian millionaire and scientist.

According to Ashurbeyli, the goal of the project is to create a kingdom with a population of up to 150 million people within 10 years and build a space station that would allow people to live independently on the moon for 25 years.

All this looks like a movie script, but the project has already been supported by quite a few people. The project manager reports that citizens of 200 different countries will become residents of Asgardia - this is more than 193 UN countries.

Ashurbeyli also said that Asgardia wants to attract 2% of the world's creative population. For this, IQ tests will be conducted.

To provide Asgardia with the Internet on a global scale, satellites will be built in 5-7 years, within 10-15 years the station will start operating and deliver the first settlers to the lunar surface.

When the question arose about the registration fee in Asgardia, Ashurbeyli said that the fee would be 100 euros per year, but, of course, now everything is only on paper and an official permission must be obtained.

The Asgardian government plans to levy taxes on businesses, but the tax will be kept to a minimum.

“Currently I am financing the Asgardia project together with sponsors,” said Igor Ashurbeyli.

Perhaps the future we saw in Star Wars is just around the corner?
