Strange skulls are sometimes found in different parts of the world, but no one can say for sure who they belonged to. Who were the creatures with unusual elongated heads? Our ancestors, earthly humanoids? Mutants? Or aliens from other worlds?
Science is only about to answer these questions by examining the mysterious skulls and mummies found in Peru. Strange skulls and mummies were discovered relatively recently by the scientist Renata Riquelme in the area of the mysterious Peruvian city of Cuzco.
The local hill of Viracocha is known to the locals as a place of worship of the ancient Inca gods. In one of the mummies found, the skull is noticeably elongated and the eye sockets are very large. The right eye socket contains the remains of an eyeball, which theoretically allows analysis of the mummy's DNA.
Other similar mummies have been found in the area. These bodies with amazing skulls cannot be attributed to any people, to any race of people living on our planet.
It is very difficult to establish the age of these skulls as well as their origin. Some of them are markedly different from each other. One gets the impression that they belong to different biological species, somewhat reminiscent of modern humans.
The large size and unusual shapes of different skulls are immediately striking. They can be divided into four groups: cone-shaped (or pyramidal) skulls, pumpkin-shaped, not quite regular in shape, and the so-called protohuman.

But what living creatures could have such unusual heads? One of the scientists' versions is that in ancient times, people deliberately deformed the skulls of babies, using various devices. Indeed, until recently, many peoples of the world had a cruel tradition of changing the shape of the head of children. The elongated shape of the head was considered beautiful.
From childhood, children were tightly tied around their heads in the forehead and temples with a rope or bandaged with planks. It is interesting that such a custom existed among different peoples, geographically distant from each other. Scientists find elongated skulls in Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Malta, northern Iraq and Syria. Traditionally, such changes in the skulls are associated with the customs of people who belonged to the castes of rulers or priests.
So, scientists argue that the anomalies of many skulls were caused by wearing special bandages in childhood, which give the head just such a strange shape. But the flaw in this theory is that the inside of the cranium, albeit elongated and with a sloping forehead, has the same normal structure as normal human skulls. Skulls, deformed on purpose, are more similar to the above-mentioned protohuman than cone-shaped. There are no cone-shaped skulls among the monuments of ancient cultures, where people deliberately changed the shape of their heads.
Why did our distant ancestors (if we are talking about them all) needed to mock their heads so much? According to ancient legends, extraordinary abilities (telepathy, clairvoyance) could be obtained by becoming like the gods. And the gods' heads were very different from those of humans. But what if people took aliens from other worlds for gods?
There are legends about the gods who descended from heaven. Their heads had an unusual shape. Among the gods of the Maya people in Mexico, the serpent gods are known who wore high headdresses. And the "high society" Maya, wishing to emphasize their belonging to the divine tribe, began to "work" on the shape of the skulls of their children, likening them to newcomers from heaven.
The gods of Egypt also wore elongated headdresses. There is a version that even the well-known statues from Easter Island are figures with elongated skulls, and their flat red stone headdresses actually depict long hair, styled into an intricate hairstyle that covers the heads.
Scientists talk about artificial deformities: about the mechanical effect on the heads of children for ritual purposes.
These influences in childhood, as if, gave the skulls the desired shape. But the size of the skulls found in ancient burials does not correlate well with this version. Indeed, in these strange skulls there was placed a brain weighing 2500, or even 3500 grams. And this is much more than the usual weight of the brain. The average human brain weighs about 1,500 grams.
Note that the volume of the skull and the intellectual abilities of a person are not related in any way. For example, the writer Anatole Franz had a brain weighing 1017 grams. But Turgenev's brain weighed 2012 grams.
When the appearance of its long-dead owner was restored from a skull found in Peru, it turned out that the creature found most of all resembled an alien. But this version also cannot explain all the features of the unusual finds, all the nuances of the structure of the mysterious skulls.
Our earthly brothers?
There are good reasons to believe that at the beginning of a new era, two thousand years ago, a race of people unlike us lived on Earth. These people differed from our contemporaries, first of all, in the elongated shape of the head. Who were they? Where did they come from? Or have they existed for a long time side by side with ordinary people? Scientists cannot give answers yet. Or do they not want to? After all, then the history of the emergence of Homo sapiens, the creation of culture and civilization by him, would have to be rewritten, revised …
Numerous archaeological finds clearly demonstrate that egg-headed people, which have already become familiar to us thanks to science fiction films, are in fact the most ordinary earthly creatures. Meanwhile, anthropology is still looking for an intermediate link between humans and primates, monkeys, but at the same time stubbornly does not notice the strange skulls of intelligent creatures that lived in ancient times next to us. Scientists explain their existence either by the handiwork of ancient people, or simply by disease, mutation, deformity. However, perhaps it is worth finally revising some of the inert principles of science?
The very existence of egg-headed people in antiquity allows a new look at many of the mysteries of history.
Everyone knows that the most ancient civilization is the Sumerian. The Sumerians themselves, as can be seen in the surviving images, were, of course, ordinary round-headed people. But their leaders are carved in stone and painted in the indispensable conical headdress. Ancient figurines also represent the higher caste to us as creatures with egg-shaped heads.
By the way: hoods, crowns, tiaras and other distinctive headdresses up to the present day symbolize higher knowledge or higher power. And isn't it from those eggheads that the ancient custom of putting a crown on their heads comes?
All kinds of images of mythological creatures (as modern science calls them) with an elongated head shape must be recognized as genuine portraits. And the massive finds of images of such creatures - sculptures, bas-reliefs, frescoes - can naturally be explained by their very life next to ordinary people. Cases of artificial deformation of human skulls are a simple imitation of that ancient ruling elite.
Three options
It should be noted: since the time of the late Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons, humans had a fairly large brain weight (1600-1750 grams). This, we recall, is more than that of a modern person. The unusual and unexpected decrease in brain weight was sudden and occurred about 11-12 thousand years ago. It was then that the megalithic structures of Baalbek, Stonehenge were built. Byblos, Jericho and others … Isn't it strange?
Summarize. The existence of elongated skulls can be explained in different ways. First: these are the skulls of some egg-headed gods, aliens from other worlds. Second: these are the skulls of the ruling, highest caste in antiquity, that is, representatives of a parallel branch of intelligent beings of earthly origin (in relation to people).
And the third thing: these are just the skulls of people who tried to become equal to the gods by deformation, changing the skull.
Of course, the goal of any real science should be the search for truth. Let's wish scientists and enthusiasts to understand the mystery of strange skulls. After all, it is no longer possible to pretend that they do not exist.
