In past centuries, people regularly came across creatures that had hooves on their feet. And as a rule, these creatures were attributed to devils or demons. But who are they really? Are they aliens from another world? Aliens? If a wild hairy yeti can somehow be inscribed into the nature of our planet, but how can a bipedal creature with hooves be inscribed there?
The most famous of these creatures is undoubtedly the Jersey Devil. But we already wrote about him, so in this article we will publish stories about encounters with other strange ungulates.
The Canadian paranormal site Paranormal Studies & Inquiry Canada published an eyewitness story who met a hoofed creature in 1980 near the town of Uxbridge.
In those years he was a teenager and was on a team of Boy Scouts, who had a camp with wooden houses in the forest. One evening, when the boys had already gone to bed, an eyewitness heard loud snorting and other sounds, similar to a large animal like a bull next to their house.
And along with the snort, the clatter of hooves was heard. Moreover, these sounds were from the clatter of hooves on the wooden flooring, that is, this animal was right in their house in the next empty room!
“At first I thought that it was my uncle who wanted to play a trick on us, but then I realized that such a noisy snort can only be produced by a large animal, but not by a person. Meanwhile, the sound of hooves came in our direction and soon they fell silent right in front of the door leading to our room.
I decided that it was finally over, but then a clatter was heard very close, it entered and came nearer in my direction! Suddenly, very close to my sleeping bag, I saw two huge hooves, and then something pulled me up, as if it wanted to pull me out of the bag.
When I felt that it was about to lift me off the floor, I started twitching and screamed. I still could not see it in the dark, but I immediately fell to the floor, it threw me and retreated. Then I heard three quick steps to the side and it disappeared."

The following story appeared on Your Ghost Stories and took place in California in the 2000s. According to an eyewitness, she was then 18 years old and she, along with her friend Jessica, with whom they rented a house, began to get involved in the occult. They also often played with the Ouija board and held séances.
“Then we both began to notice that there was some kind of negative feeling in the house. It seems that something bad has settled here. One day Jessica went to rest with her family and for a while I was left alone.
One night, I woke up with an incomprehensible sharp sound. I slowly opened my eyes and immediately saw a goat looking out the window of the room. She had red eyes, and with her front hooves she rested on the windowsill.
I froze in place, and then slowly turned over with my back to the window, as if nothing had happened, I decided. that this is a dream. For a while I heard a noise at the window, but then everything calmed down and I fell asleep. However, such nights were repeated two more times.
I told my mother about this night vision and she immediately said that an evil spirit lives in this house. She said "You and Jessica invited her to this house yourself." But I didn't want to see him and I didn't want him to appear again. And I never saw him again. I don't know what it was, but definitely not a dream."

“This story was told by my mother, and the rest of the family confirmed that it was true. One day my aunt was sitting in the bathroom early in the morning, it was still dark and she was washing herself, getting ready to go to work. And suddenly from the side of the window a long arm reached out to her.
Aunt saw her and began to scream out of fear, which made everyone in the house wake up and her hand disappeared. But when they ran outside to see what was going on there, under the bathroom window, they saw many large hoofprints on the ground. Tracks were everywhere around the house and even on the porch, something went around the whole house."
And this story came to the cryptozoologist Brent Swanser personally from an eyewitness. Its author was driving along a rural road in Colorado and suddenly noticed something on the side of the road ahead.
The weather was bad, there was a light rain mixed with snow, and at first it seemed to the driver that he was a frozen hitchhiker who needed help. But the closer he got. all the more I realized that this was not a person at all.
“The proportions of his body were completely different, and his legs were very long and thin. I understood. that something was wrong here, but what exactly he could not understand. But when I got very close and pulled up next to him, I immediately saw that his legs ended in hooves like a goat.
His face was so unusual that I will never forget, and his eyes were like coals. And I immediately realized that he did not need my help and it would be better to leave here as soon as possible. Which I did."
In another story, also in the countryside, an elderly couple from Texas sat on their front porch and gazed at the evening sky, admiring the sunset and the scenic skyline. They did this every night, but this time something was wrong.
Suddenly, against the background of the crimson sunset sky, a creature appeared in a field nearby and began to walk back and forth. His silhouette was clearly visible to the spouses and it did not look like a person or any known animal. It was hunched over and its legs resembled those of a goat.
“It looked exactly like the demon in the picture, you could even make out the hooves on its legs. And it made amazing sounds as its hooves stomped on the ground. His face resembled a human, but there were two large horns on his head.
Suddenly it noticed us, tilted its head, looked in our direction and started to run so quickly that it was impossible to distinguish its legs. In a matter of seconds it disappeared from sight."
Stories about encounters with these creatures are actually very rare, much less common than sightings of aliens or yeti. Therefore, it seems that these people really saw something very unusual.
