Senseless inventions have always accompanied the life of mankind, causing condescending smiles from people. And April 1 is a reason to laugh at some of these pseudo-scientific ideas, which are also captured in Russian patent application registers.
The fact that these "sparkling" ideas get into such databases does not mean that all of them are realistically feasible, because, in principle, anything can be applied for patents.
Russian gravicapa
In 2017, a resident of the Znamya Oktyabrya village of the Ryazan Region applied for the invention of no less than Gravitsapa - the Russian Flying Ship (as in the text of the application - Ed. Note) with a controlled gravitational field.
According to the application, the "flying ships" "will fly through the airspace of the Earth, across the vastness of the Milky Way Galaxy to the planets of other stars at a speed approaching the speed of emitting quanta by a quantum engine under controlled gravity."
The method of movement in space proposed by the author, in his opinion, is used in "flying saucers".
"Insulated boxes made of fluoroplastic are laid on the metal body of the UFO, and conductive conductors are laid in them, along which electric current passes with a minimum frequency, which creates an anti-gravitational field around the UFO body - like ball lightning, in a UFO, the energy source is located in the ship's body", - stated in the text of the application.

Stardust into action
A truly universal idea came to mind of a resident of Orenburg, who proposed, as indicated in the patent application, "a method for implementing interplanetary communications and technical devices for its implementation."
We are talking about a method of flying between planets using manned spacecraft using the jet thrust of an ion engine with an internal ion source and electricity from a megawatt class nuclear reactor launched from Earth platforms.
The salt of this idea lies in the fact that it is proposed to use "interstellar gases and electrically charged cosmic dust collected along the movement of the spacecraft" as the working medium of the ion engine.
Mirror cities
In 2017, a resident of Cheboksary proposed a way to combat global warming. To do this, he proposes to build residential buildings and industrial structures, from all sides covered with panels, "reflecting the sun's rays back into space."
But the idea of using "mirror" panels is not limited to this: they are also proposed to be used for heating water and generating electricity.
In early 2018, the application received a "notification of a positive result of formal examination."
Universe on earth
A resident of Moscow came up with his own way of depicting the starry sky (possibly in addition to the demonstration capabilities of the capital's planetarium). According to his application, he proposes "a method for creating an earth astronomical map, including the selection of a map carrier and projection of the relief of planets or satellites." The difference between the method and other similar methods is that "land is used as a carrier of the map, while a plot of land of a given size is prepared, due to the number of structures placed on it."
According to the author, on this site then create "earthen structures and install prefabricated high-rise stone structures, and the earth structures and high-rise stone structures are full-scale models of the relief forms of planets or satellites, with specified geometric parameters."
But if problems arise with the search for suitable stones, this is not critical. The author specifies that “metal, plastic, wood, cardboard” is also used as a material for high-rise buildings. How large this "Planetarium 2.0" should be and where exactly it can be located was not indicated in the application.
Under lock and key before drinking
Bright thoughts lit up the head of another resident of Moscow, who has solved the problem of protection from emergency situations with the participation of people who are "under degrees." These ideas were concentrated in a patent application entitled "A way to prevent a drunken person from harming others and himself."
The method proposed by its author is that “before putting himself into a state of intoxication, a person, using blocking devices, blocks objects that can be used to harm him or others for a period set by him using a timer that is part of the blocking device.
As "devices implementing the method" proposed, in particular, mortise, surface or padlock, as well as "storage". For some reason, a much more reliable way to isolate the drinker in the vault at the same time as locking it with a mortise lock was not indicated.
