Famed physicist, popularizer of science and writer Michio Kaku took a break from his work on string field theory and took part in the World Congress of Ufologists in Barcelona last weekend. According to Yahoo News, the researcher spoke in front of thousands of forum participants and even gave some tips on how to behave aboard an alien ship.

However, as the physicist said, even without extraterrestrial dandruff, astrobiology - the science of life beyond Earth - today has enough material to work with, given some provocative data published over the past 20 months. Researchers got their hands on recently declassified videos filmed by US Navy pilots over the east coast in 2015, showing mysterious flying objects, the turns of which are inaccessible to any earthly aircraft.
Through video analysis, as well as information from recently updated radar systems, scientists were able to identify previously unknown features of UFOs.
Now we know that they fly between Mach 5 and 20 - 5-20 times the speed of sound, - Kaku told the grateful audience. “We also know that they change courses so quickly that any human pilot will be crushed by centrifugal force. That they don't have the exhaust we can see.
The usually cited explanations about the allegedly natural nature of unidentified flying objects: meteors, meteorological balloons, even the mysterious influence of the planet Venus, are not able to shed light on such point phenomena and, according to the speaker, this can mean one of two things: or we are dealing with human products origin, representing such advanced technologies that even scientists are at a loss, or, to the delight of ufologists, "they are evidence of a developed space civilization."

Could these devices be Russian? - Kaku asked his audience, and he himself answered: - Perhaps - given the fact that last year Vladimir Putin said that "Russia has created a hypersonic aircraft capable of zigzagging." The US and China are also working on hypersonic drones. On the other hand, the physicist stressed, the alien version should not be rejected yet.
Michio Kaku noted that the Universe is 13.8 billion years old, while earth science was born only 300 years ago, which means that on any of the 4,000 recently discovered exoplanets where life could exist, alien civilizations may develop their technologies much longer than us.
The aforementioned conference in Barcelona lasted three days and examined the probable types of UFOs, the theoretical features of the varieties of extraterrestrial races, as well as ways of communicating with aliens, ranging from telepathy and sign language, to a certain novelty - the "language of light".
It is noteworthy that even the absence of irrefutable evidence of the existence of aliens and stories of abductions and UFO encounters did not give rise to skepticism. Ufology is once again on top - there are no free seats at the World Congress of Ufology, and this despite the fact that ticket prices ranged from 120 euros for a "child", to 2,200 euros for a VIP-class ticket, which gave the right to three meals a day, as many bottles of drinking water as you like, the best places, as well as personal meetings with speakers (to meet with Michio Kaku, you had to leave a request three months in advance).
By the way, a few hours after Kaku's speech, the Barcelona media reported that two tornadoes were spotted in the city at once (and tornadoes are rare there): the first spun about three miles north of the conference site, and the second three miles south … Coincidence?
