Many people first learned about him from the 1982 film of the same name, directed by Tobe Hooper. The term "poltergeist" comes from the confluence of two German words: poltern, which means "to rumble" and geist - a ghost, spirit. That is, literally - a noisy ghost. We have such a guest called barabashka. It manifests itself quite suddenly, noisily and in places where no paranormal activity has been noticed before.
