The abilities of Grigory Rasputin, with the help of which he treated the heir to the throne and brought under his influence the Empress, and through her - and Nicholas II, are still unsolved. An illiterate peasant from the Siberian taiga, he possessed extraordinary clarity of thought, and possibly clairvoyance.
On June 29, 1914, at the height of the diplomatic crisis that led to World War I, Rasputin was severely stabbed in the stomach by a certain Guseva. The investigation and historians have not found out who was behind this attempt. From the hospital, where he was forced to stay until mid-August, Rasputin sent alarming telegrams to St. Petersburg warning Nicholas II against entering the war, but in vain. The fateful step was taken by the Tsar.
Falsified divinations
The prophecies of Grigory Rasputin are repeated to this day in print, and even in the central press there are surprising errors in the titles of Rasputin's books and the years of their publication. When people talk about Rasputin's predictions, they mean his book "My Thoughts and Reflections", published in 1915. But there, for example, could not contain a prophecy that "the empire will end" when the name Petersburg will be changed to another, because already in 1914 the capital of the Russian Empire was renamed Petrograd. It is possible that Rasputin expressed such a forecast earlier in private correspondence or conversation.
The censorship, of course, could not have missed his statement that "as I embrace the Tsar, and the mother [Empress], and the girls [the Tsarevins], and the Tsarevich, I shudder with horror, as if I embrace the dead." If this was once expressed by Rasputin, then, undoubtedly, also in a private way.

Rasputin's dark prophecy about his death and the fall of the Romanov dynasty was contained in a kind of Rasputin's bequest letter to Nicholas II, written sometime in November or December 1916, shortly before the murder. There are strange words there that if Rasputin is killed by hired simple Russian peasants, then the Tsar has nothing to fear for the future of his throne. But “if the bora and the nobles kill me,” Grigory Yefimovich predicted, then Russia will go through turmoil for 25 years, and none of the Tsar's family will live even two years.
But there is a great suspicion that this letter was falsified in 1941 by a part of the Russian emigration, who wanted to see Hitler as the deliverer of Russia from the Bolsheviks. It was just 25 years after the assassination of Rasputin and the February Revolution.
So it cannot be said that the Tsar did not heed Rasputin's warnings. It is possible that many of them were invented after Rasputin after many years, when Nicholas II was no longer alive.

Visions of the distant future
The prophecies of Rasputin, contained in the book published during his lifetime and under his signature, differ, like any similar providence, in vague and ambiguity. But with a certain amount of imagination, they can well be correlated with what happened or is happening.
Thus, it can be assumed that Rasputin predicted the Second World War and the Cold War confrontation between capitalism and communism. "A bloodthirsty prince will come from the West, who will enslave a person with wealth, and another prince will come from the East, who will enslave a person with poverty."
It can be considered that Rasputin foresaw the discrediting of the institution of the family, climatic cataclysms and an ecological catastrophe. “You will see fertile lands turned into salty swamps. And other lands will be dried up by the growing heat … The rose will bloom in December, and in June there will be snow. That's what prophecies are for, so that they can be applied in any situation.
“The ignorant and powerful will dictate the law to the wise and humble” - this prediction, in various variations, has been heard for three thousand years at different latitudes. True, and, unfortunately, it comes true quite regularly.
