I recently discovered strange time travel journals dating back to 1985. In several handwritten notebooks, the author, who at that time was about 15 years old, outlined the theory of time travel.

The diaries look quite authentic, and by all indications correspond to the 80s of the last century.

Below I will quote, with some abbreviations, the main paragraph of the above theory from the diaries. I will only note that its author disappeared at some point in time, and the last evidence of his presence in our world dates back to 1993.

Time structure. Time barrel and branch concept

In nature, everything moves forward in time. Schematically, the movement of time can be represented as a half-line, one end of which goes into the infinite past, and the other moves upward, reflecting the movement of time:

Point S is constantly moving upward at the speed of time. This half-straight trunk contains all the past tense, in which it is no longer possible to interfere, as well as the current moment in time in which we all now live.

The question arises, if it is no longer possible to interfere with the trunk of the past tense, then how can one penetrate into the past?

Suppose that a person has moved five years into the past, and met himself there. The question is why he, the real one, does not remember that five years ago a double from the future flew to him? The answer is that obviously no one flew to him.

A person, having moved into the past, and starting to live there, formed a branch of time, which instantly began to grow from the trunk as soon as it materialized in the past. This branch will repeat the trunk, but not exactly, but taking into account the changes made there by this person.

There will be no man in the trunk. He will be in this branch, the beginning of which will be the date in which the person materialized, and the end will be the point of the current moment of the branch, which will rise up at the speed of the passage of time. Therefore, the length of this branch will increase all the time, and will be equal to the time elapsed since the moment the person materialized in the past.

Even if the person after that returns in due time, the branch will continue to grow without him, but taking into account the changes made to it by that person.

For example, a person from 1980 arrived in 1950 and lived in the resulting branch for 10 years. During this time, the current trunk time also increased by 10 years (we do not take into account the time spent on the movement itself).

Thus, time in the branch and in the trunk flows with the same speed (for the sake of simplicity, we have not yet considered the possibility of a non-uniform flow of time in different epochs). Since the person has lived in the past 10 years, the length of the branch is also 10 years.

Now, if a person returns to his time (at the current moment of his time), and this will be already 1990, then the branch will grow without him, and after another 10 years, in 2000, returning to the branch, he will find that its length is already 20 years, and the point of its current moment is no longer 1960, in which he left it, but 1970.

Thus, the distance between the current moments of the branch and the trunk will always be the same (in our case, 30 years).

Based on the foregoing, a person who descended into the past and met himself there, did not meet his real self, but his twig twin, just formed along with the branch. And this double, having lived up to the moment when its real original went into the past, will already remember that a double from the future flew to him.

He may even refuse to fly into the past, and from this he will not forget anything - after all, it was not he who flew to him, but the original from the trunk!

Thanks to this explanation of the structure of time, all the inconsistencies and absurdities that other theories of time displacements sin at once disappear, and it becomes possible to explain all the nuances of such displacement in a much more detailed and accessible way.

It is impossible to influence what has already happened from the past, i.e. having flown into the past and returning back, you do not risk at all to find this world changed by you. You don't even risk disappearing by killing yourself in the past. You will perform all these actions only in the branches, and it is impossible to change the main trunk of time.

Second order branches

In the same way that a branch is separated from a trunk, a branch can also be separated from a branch. Thus, branches of higher orders can be formed.

That is, a person from 1980 flew away to 1950. When it materializes in the past, the first-order branch is detached. Having lived in a branch for 20 years, he goes back in time for 10 years and materializes again. Since when moving backwards it does not reach the beginning of the branch, the new branch during materialization will move away not from the trunk, but from the first branch, and forms a second-order branch.

In this case, all branches will grow into the future at the same speed - the speed of the passage of time, regardless of the presence of this person in one branch or another.

The same laws apply between the higher-order branch and the parent lower-order branch as between the first-order branch and the trunk. In other words, for each higher-order branch, the previous-order branch is the trunk.

Conclusion

The theory also contains other paragraphs, which describe the model of "pulsating" time and the model of infinitely decelerating time.

The theoretical foundations of the operation of a time machine in a temporary environment and auxiliary equipment for returning to branches (corridors, funnels, time machines attractors, returners) are described. Some nodes and blocks of the time machine are also mentioned, such as the protein helix, time accelerators, and nanocircuit blocks.

It also describes the counter-substance, which moves back in time, and of which the oncoming world can consist, which we do not notice due to the different directions of the movement of time in the substance.

Another thought is expressed that the number of orders of branches is infinite, and there is no trunk as such in nature. Any branch is just a branch, into which some time traveler, even an alien one, once flew and formed it.

In general, the work is quite serious, and I would not be surprised if its author now lives somewhere in the past in one of his branches.
