Probably, if there was such an opportunity, many would like to go back in time and change something in their past. And now there is a hope that these dreams can be realized. Astrophysicist Ronald Mallett, professor of physics at the University of Connecticut, believes that such a journey is theoretically possible.
Although Mallett admits that his theoretical ideas and plans for implementing time travel are unlikely to be realized during his lifetime, this will not prevent him from trying to fulfill his dream - to meet his beloved father again. For this, he started developing scientific approaches and solving complex equations, on the basis of which, he said, it would be possible to create a time machine.
Mallett devoted his scientific activities to the study of general relativity, as well as the study of black holes. In addition, he was engaged in theoretical research regarding time travel, as well as the rationale for solving the most difficult task of creating a time machine that can go to the past. The scientist believes that it is theoretically possible to bend time into a loop, which will allow time travel to the past. He even created a prototype demonstrating how lasers can be used for this purpose.
Mallett realizes that his idea for the moment is bare theory and that certain limitations may arise. "You can send information back," he said, "but you can only send it where the time machine will be turned on."
