In Germany, near Mount Mittelberg, in the small town of Nebra, treasure hunters have made an unusual find, consisting of very ancient objects. There were samples of weapons, jewelry. Scientists have determined that this entire treasure is at least 8,000 years old.

There was no doubt what these things were and what they were for.

But questions arose about the small disk, which was later nicknamed as the stellar disk. It has a diameter of 320mm and a thickness of 2mm. There was no doubt that the starry sky was painted on it, in which the sun, the moon, and also the "sun boat", the symbol of which is considered to be a stripe in the form of a sickle, placed at the outer edge, is clearly visible. The disc itself is made of bronze, but all of the above elements are of the purest gold.

The most interesting thing began after the study of ancient sources that led to distant antiquity. Here, the scientists' guesses that this device was used to navigate the stars were confirmed.

Everyone knows Homer's Iliad. So, there was described the shield that Hephaestus made for Achilles. The above item became the "prototype" for the shield. After it became known what it is, it remains to figure out who used it and how.

The answer was not long in coming. After some time, excavations began near the neighboring village of Gossek. A sensation awaited archaeologists here - an observatory of those times. Research has shown that no such ancient observatories have ever been found. Even the famous Stonehenge is younger than this building.

Naturally, the scientists linked the two finds, and then proved it. If you draw the radii to the edges of the arc, you get an angle of 82.5є. So, in the observatory there are two exits, and if the same radii are drawn through their midpoints, we get a sector equal to the indicated value. And if we continue these radii beyond its limits, then the directions will point exactly to the points of sunrise and sunset on the day of the winter solstice. It became clear that the arcs indicated the entrances to the observatory. But the scientists decided to look further.

Namely, further 2 thousand kilometers, to the Aegean Sea, where the island of Delos is located. At the time indicated, Delos was one of the largest religious centers. There is another observatory here, which connects to the one found exactly through the southeast exit. It is also the temple of Apollo, who was very much revered by the inhabitants of the northern regions.

If you draw a line beyond the Observatory in Gosek, it will appear directly to Cape Reykjanes, in Iceland. It is fanned by many legends, including about the fabulous Hyperborea. Even the geographer Diodorus wrote about her. According to his description, this country is located on the northern edge of the world. Moreover, the line continued further "rests" on Greenland. It was here, according to ancient legends, that the inaccessible North Atlantis was located, the second name of which is Hyperborea.

It follows from this that the ancient inhabitants knew how to reach this country, about the existence of which there is still so much controversy. The find was made in the 90s, but this study stopped because more facts were not found.
