“You, of course, can laugh at us, - said the head of the group of spiritualists Ivan Gamaley (the only one who agreed to give his name), - but each of those present here at one time was registered in the mental hospital, because they heard 'voices' and were "visions". Gamaley himself does not hear the "voices", but is only engaged in the analysis of information coming through the spiritualists from the "other world". After all, the mysteries of creative activity are still a secret behind seven seals. In vain did the specialists of the Institute of Brain of the Russian Academy of Sciences dissect the brains of great (and not so) people. They could not unequivocally determine how the mind is physiologically different from stupidity.
Neurophysiologists and psychologists, too, have not yet come to final conclusions as to how such "immaterial" phenomena as the psyche and consciousness are associated with the brain tissue.
