In history, there were many people, circus performers, artists who did something incredible. All of them were exposed and turned out to be charlatans. But there was such a guy - Mirin Dajo (real name Arnold Henske). If someone did not know or have forgotten, then this is the only person known in history with the superpower of invulnerability. He could be pierced with swords through the internal organs as much as he wanted and he did not die.

Why?

In 1945, at the age of 33, Arnold believed that his body was invulnerable. He quit his job and moved to Amsterdam, where he went to cafes and bars and offered visitors to stab him to death.

Although Arnold became famous exclusively for body piercing, in his first performance he ate a piece of glass and six blades. As Arnold himself admitted, these things never left his body, but dematerialized inside him.

In Amsterdam, he adopted the pseudonym Mirin Dao (esper. Mirin Daĵo, from mirindaĵo), which means “miracle”.

The next step was the search for an agent who would organize M. Dajo's performances: first in cafes and clubs, later in theaters and churches to convey his message to humanity. The agent was found and Mirin Dajo was sent for examination at the University of Leiden to obtain a license to speak. The first scientific examination was carried out by Prof. Karp, Dr. Bertholt and Stokvis. Mirin Dajo was licensed only to perform in private clubs due to his unusual skill. This upset him, since the demonstration of invulnerability had to take place not in the form of a show, but in the form of a lecture and had to be a message to people of his worldview.

Jan de Groot (agent) calculated that Dajo was pierced more than 50 times a day, and more than 100 times on several days. Sharp knitting needles and rapiers passed through the heart, lungs and spleen, sometimes through several organs at the same time, while there was no blood. From time to time, the blades sprinkled with poison or deliberately rusted. In one performance in Zurich, to prove to the public that this was not a hoax, Dajo was pierced with three hollow 8mm pipes through which water was supplied.

In 1947 Mirin Dajo went on tour to Switzerland. On May 31, 1947, he demonstrated his talents at the Zurich Cantonal Hospital in the presence of many doctors, doctors and journalists. X-rays were also taken there showing internal organs pierced by a sword. After the sword was removed, there was no blood, and only small specks remained on the body. Similar studies were also carried out in Basel and Bern.

According to one of the scientists, who, together with his colleagues, observed the Dajo phenomenon, what he demonstrated made experts only shrug their shoulders. From a scientific point of view, it was impossible to explain what was happening. With a naked torso, Dajo stood absolutely calmly in the middle of the room, while an assistant approached him from behind and sharply stuck a long, sharp rapier into his side. At the same time, Mirin Dajo continued to maintain a calm air.

But the strangest thing for both doctors and scientists was that the metal tip did not leave any wounds on the body of a unique person - everything happened absolutely bloodless.

In order to make sure that there was no damage to internal organs, Dajo had an x-ray taken. Both the lungs and the heart were in perfect order, despite the fact that at that moment there was a real rapier in them. The impression was that the weapon had pierced through not a living person, but a dummy with plasticine organs. Moreover, the only one assured the doctors that the sharp object did not cause any harm to him, but nevertheless condescendingly allowed to anoint the tiny holes in the body left by the rapier with disinfectants.

Despite the fact that daggers and rapiers did not cause any harm to Dajo himself, the audience often fainted. During one of the performances, a particularly impressionable spectator had a heart attack. And at a performance at the Corso Concert Hall in Zurich, the rapier hit a bone. Hearing a quiet grinding sound in absolute silence, several people fainted. This led to the fact that Dajo was banned from performing in large halls. He had to confine himself to scenes of cafes and bars, but this did not bother him.

How did he die?

While touring Switzerland, Dajo's "guardian angels" told him to swallow a steel needle, which was then supposed to be surgically removed. Moreover, the operation had to take place without anesthesia. On May 11, 1948, Dajo swallowed a needle. She remained inside his body for two days. The doctor agreed to remove her, but the operation was performed on May 13 under general anesthesia.

After 10 days, de Groote's assistant went to the airport to meet his wife, while Dajo stayed at home and went to bed. Arriving home, de Groote and his wife found Dajo still lying in bed. Yang knew that his friend often meditates or, as he claimed, "leaves the body." Therefore, as usual, he checked his pulse and, making sure that the pulse was beating strongly and evenly, left. Dajo did not get up the next day. Since he had never fallen into such a long "trance", de Groote became worried, but Dajo continued to breathe deeply and his pulse was even.

On the morning of the third day, de Groote again looked into his friend's room. Dajo had no pulse or breath. Dajo was pronounced dead on May 26, 1948. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was aortic rupture. The surgeon who removed the needle and de Groot disagreed with this conclusion.

Skeptics are sure that he is a magician: “he closes the tip with his fist, closes the hole with his hand when he takes out the sword, and a fake X-ray. The edges should be black, and the sword and body should be white (and the ribs and internal organs should be visible.”But this is the opinion of Internet users, there are no documents or sources on this score.
