They say so. And you can't put it in your pocket either. Like, there are no buns from this gratitude. But such thinking is only out of ignorance and modern realities.

I was here preparing material for an article about Europe and the role of the notorious "white race" in it and somehow accidentally wandered into a related topic. The result is a theory that I'm not completely sure of, but it's pretty foldable, and damn it, I have to share it with you!

But I immediately have to warn you, showing your sharp teeth: those who are going to and generally like to argue that “IT IS CORRECT TO SPEAK 'THANK YOU' AND NOT 'THANKS'!" (yeah, just like that, capslock), they can and even simply must (in the name of world peace) finish reading this article right now and never, I repeat, NEVER start this button accordion with me. For two reasons: 1 - this article is not about this, 2 - you still do not know much about this, but what you supposedly know is a "duck" thrown at you by another "figure" of "Russian" "literature", which has nothing to do with real knowledge.

Speaking of ducks! We will also talk about them a little later.

The main participant in today's investigation will be the expression "Thank you", the very thing that "veri mach". It is it that allows you to pay attention to some aspects of European history … As they say, they burned where they did not want: they fell for politeness.

But first, let's take a quick look at our dear “Thank you”, which, as you know, is an analogue of the European “Thank, Danke”, and to some extent explains it. At the same time, our "Thank you" is more florid, large-scale or something; the European "danke" is still more straightforward.

And there is no secret sense in it. Just what we all already know, we just choose not to take it seriously. Otherwise, you really have to smear it on bread and put it in your pocket.

Dahl's dictionary includes "Thank you" in the interpretation of the word "Save":

In the same place, Dahl cites a number of sayings and expressions from the category "Thank you for your bosom." Which is very funny, because next to him he brings a bunch of popular Christian speech about the Savior, Christ the Savior, God; Salvation is heaven and everything. But as soon as the speech concerns not faith, but simple relationships, all this sublimity of salvation goes somewhere. That is, already in the 19th century they did not really believe in "Thank you". The word "thank you" is, in my opinion, a rather ecclesiastical one. Simply because it was the church that actively introduced the “good” to the masses. Wherever you look, everywhere is "good."

Well, okay, let “Thank you” be “Save God,” although I would translate it as “Be saved,” the meaning is the same, only less religious. After all, what is “Save”? It is usually defined as "liberating, helping out, defending, interceding, giving help, getting rid of trouble" (also from Dahl). But in general, "spy" is "spy" or "observe", the Scythian "spu" is like an "eye". Further, “to shepherd” (and for Christians God is both Savior and Shepherd) is also to watch, but not only. After all, there are also words such as "store", that is, cook, keep in stock. More from the explanatory dictionary: "graze, graze - beware, watch out, guard, watch out, beware." Well, it would be understandable why God is portrayed with the Eye in Heaven, right? Everything "grazes", that is, looks after, protects, protects, while not allowing to scatter (keeps in stock). In Sanskrit, "Pastia (पस्त्या)" is "home, dwelling, way of life, property." That is, you understand why God is “the Lord”, that is, the one who “grazes the household (state)” … Well, if we exaggerate, of course.

From which it follows that to Save is not so much to save one from trouble as to intercede, to become a patron, to GIVE YOUR help.

Sometimes it seems to me, when I read comments that I write very incomprehensibly, since people do not always follow what is contained in the text, and what it points to (since you cannot write everything, but you can direct your thought along the vector). But all the same, I will refer to a series of my articles on "Chur", which should be some kind of beacon when it comes to the communal, tribal psychology of the ancient people, because there I described all this in as much detail (as it seems to me).

And therefore, Salvation is just an offer to join (temporarily or forever) a community, family, person. To be saved means to gain the protection of a community, family, spirits or patron, "shepherd". Without patronage, you will constantly be haunted by troubles, since you cannot survive alone. It is not for nothing that when arranging a new house, the first thing they did was to build a "red corner" with icons (archetypal ancestors), the Romans dragged their penates to new lands, just like other tribes carried with them some images of their ancestors. And if there were none, then it was necessary to ask "under the wing" to other people's patrons. Thus, the shamanic tribes “greased” themselves to the spirits of the area. Everything in order to enter their “house” - “with the mouth” (aha, “flock”), to be saved.

But, as you know, there is no freebie and you have to pay for patronage (yes, it's good to give))).

Danken

And here we come to the main topic.

As you can see, I'm not using the famous English "Thank", but the Dutch "danke" (also German). Because English is already a derivative. Moreover, the Dutch is also a derivative. This is purely my opinion and I will justify it.

It is believed that "danken" comes from the medieval Dutch "danc" and, as it were, everything that is typical of European etymology. Sometimes they lead to a hypothetical root similar to the English "think", that is, "to think." But let's announce a broader list of dialects: þanc, Tonk, tank, dank, tak, tack, tøkk, þökk. The last 4 words are Scandinavian, and this þ is not “p, p”, but “θ”, if suddenly someone did not see it.

In the Slavic world there is also a word from this row: Ukrainian - “dyakuy, dyakuvat”, Belarusians “dzięk, dziękować”, Czech “dík, dĕkovat”, Slovak “ďakovať”.

Vasmer says that all these words came from the Germanic "danke", but I cannot agree with him. Quite the opposite! For example, the "Venedov", who are "elves", or "Hungarians", who are "Ugrians", or "vampires" who are "ghouls", "monograms" who are "knots", etc. we can always see that many words that passed from EAST TO WEST through the Germanic lands (or from the south), became more sonorous by introducing constructions with "H" or "M" in them. That is why the word "Dyaka" or "dík" is more primary than "Dank". As well as the Scandinavian variants, which also do not have an "n" in the root. And "Thank" came from Dank.

Consequently, the etymology of this "dyaki" must be sought in such words. And it is necessary to start from the meaning of this "dyaki" - "gratitude". Here you are in luck, I have already found the brightest and simplest (because there are more complex) examples. Let's start with the ducks))

Duck is a duck, like a waterfowl and Diving bird. The etymology of the word contains references to the Scandinavian "dyka, dukke, dykke" - "to dive", the Dutch "duiken" - "to dive", the Scottish "dook, douk" - "to bathe, soak, baptize in a bath", Low German "duken" - "Bend over". Well, "duck" itself is not only a "duck", but also a "bow". And rightly so, as we express gratitude and respect (an indication of the importance of a person) - BOW!

The rest of the words come from the same image - going under the water, bending, diving … As a duck dives - lowers his head under the water.

Here, the Scottish baptismal "baptize", as well as the whole bathhouse, really pleased. After all, baptism is acceptance into a community, entrance, immersion (diving) into it, and therefore, SALVATION, which was discussed above.

And in order to find this salvation, you must bow your proud head!

Sexton - from Wikipedia:

Key word "EMPLOYEE". Yes, they lead, but they serve! LOWERING THE HEAD … The word "διάκονος" itself is translated from Greek as "servant".

Duke - Duke. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken. We are, of course, told that the word "Duke" comes from the word "lead (along)" (dux), with which I will not argue. However, here we must look further.

Dukes

The Russian wiki covers this term in great detail. Everything is smooth there. For example:

Power is power, but what kind? She elected the duke nobles, obeyed the king … that is, SERVED him. Sometimes even temporarily. And here is a very small word in front of the "leader" - "military". It's hard to imagine a more subordinate servant than a military man, isn't it? This is who the most reliable executor of orders is. Minister.

From the same article:

Punished the devil. I will translate into the language of our topic with you. The king is the patron, he provides "salvation" to this duke in exchange for his faithful service. The Duke PAYS by service for his "salvation" (blessing the king). [now it is clear to you, why did they baptize as many tribes as possible?]

And by the way, while he serves, he belongs to the category of "noble". Lol. Further you will understand why this fact amuses me.

But for now, let's summarize the "Thank you": based on the etymology I have presented and the comparison with "Thank you", a simple and natural conclusion can be drawn. Thank you or Dyakuyu means "I SERVE YOU". That is why “Thank you” is just very good “spread on bread” and “fits in your pocket”. After all, in the old days, service was everything. Having your person somewhere is always beneficial. He MUST help you, if anything. This is the very “chura” psychology that I love to think about - “one for all and all for one”. This is the case in the community. And if a person has found salvation, that is, entered the community, then he simply cannot refuse, he has no right. You have to help, you have to pay, you have to give your blessing until you pay or die. Therefore, when you say your "ATP" or "thanks", then this is a verbal contract by which you confirm that if the one to whom you are gratefulasks you to do something (adequate to his help), then you do it for him. And on that you will be even.

By the way, blood feud is based on this exchange. The offended one is simply obliged to take revenge in order to make an exchange and pay off, to be quit, after which the quarrel is forgotten and you can even be friends. This is a very interesting unspoken rule.

And just to visualize this, imagine our epic heroes, with whom Vladimir feasts, SHARING FOOD WITH THEM. In exchange (in gratitude), they are simply obliged to protect his sovereign.

Savages

Now is the time to marvel at history and mock the "noble families of Europe." Although if in the previous text I was still sure, now conjectures begin. They are based on the material about "intolerant aryans".

I have already written quite a lot about how important it was for the ancestors of the white man not to forget their ancestral traditions and spread them around the world. But let's take a look at the composition of European nations. Who is "white" here?

French people? - yes no, solid "Central Asia". Spain, Italy? - alas … Only red-haired England gives hope, which, although the last, is about to die. The Mediterranean in general cannot boast of "true Aryans". And earlier, too, could not. Okay, let's take a look north. And there is a continuous "chud" in the form of the Sami and Chukhonts … Well, okay, maybe in Central and Eastern Europe who is? - Fak, gypsies, Ugrians and other "nemchura" are everywhere. And earlier, judging by the chronicles, kindly provided by the 19th century: Pechenegs, Sarmatians, all kinds of "infidelity" … Where? Where are the "white gods"? After all, there were rulers! And every "primitive" people had legends about it. Until now, they rule the whole world. And what about the people?

This is where the "noble" dukes help us. A bit from the English Wikipedia:

Peers are such arrogant faces from the high nobility who are vassals of the king, but every now and then, like sharks, circle around his crown.

So-so-sooo … Provinces, then. Germans, Celts and other "naughty nemchura", which means … Military commanders, then. But there are also "dyaks", that is, "grateful" with bowed heads, who were allowed under the "wing" of the patron-savior. Hm … I need to think. Somewhere I have already seen this term.

And here he is! In India!

The Aryans are the Aryans, and their enemies, who at all costs must be tamed, are Dasyu!

दस्यु - this is "barbarian, wicked, demon, bandit, robber, robber, atheist, enemy of the gods, outlaw (which is the same as the enemy of the gods)." In a word, REDISKA !!!

The Aryans waged an almost sacred war against the dasyu. Well, just as radical Islamists hate "infidels." This is the feature that distinguishes "arya" from "dasyu" - devotion to tradition. If you are not devoted (and do not know at all) the Aryan tradition - you are "dasya".

Also, "dasa" (-) is also a "savage", on the basis of which I assumed that the words "dasa" and "wild" are the same root. From Dahl's dictionary:

That is, the same "dasya" who does not know the laws of the "decent" Aryan society, that is, a wicked dirty pig:

Someone clearly knew something about the correct investment in * dasyu *
Someone clearly knew something about the correct investment in * dasyu *

Someone clearly knew something about the correct investment in * dasyu *.

But the Aryans are not fools, they did not kill all the "infidels", but made them … servants.

Another meaning of the words "dasya" and "dasa" is precisely "servant".

Vooot, vooot! The wild should serve the noble - written in ancient ideology. And this is not only ancient India. It's everywhere. And Europe is no exception … More precisely, Europe is, most likely, the cradle of this ideology, as well as the entire “Aryanism”, it is Indian, Jewish (against the goy Canaan) or some other Middle Eastern one.

Armed with another one-root "Duke" word "Dasia", re-read the Wikipedia data: PROVINCIAL COMMANDERS SERVING ROME (read, patron saint), MOSTLY GERMANS. And then they were given the title, estates and other bonuses for service.

From the experience of colonial politics: it is impossible to establish one's power in unknown territories without intermediaries from the local population. We need to take the most influential (that is, the most terrible and dangerous) “savages”, show them all the advantages of serving a new patron, give them gifts, comb their hair, wash them, give them weapons, food, women, booze … and make them work for themselves. DYUKar, seeing that the “new god” is generous and kind, will gladly fulfill his sacred will, persuading his entire tribe to serve the new master. And who does not agree - to that amen.

The gentleman feeds - Ducar is GRATEFUL.

This is how European noble houses were born. Everywhere you spit - all the "dukes". Those who were stronger were chosen from the local barbarians and joined ("baptized") to the faith (culture) of the Lord. In gratitude, the newly-minted Ducs served and carried the will of the Lord to the people. And only later they grabbed their share of happiness, sometimes by war, sometimes by chance, perhaps even getting rid of the Lord's veil, they themselves became Lords, composed their noble history, created their own nations …

The magic of "thank you" in action … No thanks for your attention …
