A unique operation took place in China. The surgeons successfully separated two six-month-old girls - "Siamese twins." Babies were born with fused hearts and livers. Doctors not only divided the vital organs, but also implanted an artificial chest made of titanium alloy in the babies. The girls' health is now assessed as stable, but so far they remain connected to the artificial respiration apparatus.

- We learned that the children had grown together at about the 20th week of pregnancy. After the examination, it became clear that we must not only ensure the normal course of pregnancy, but also provide parents with the moral right to make a difficult choice. However, they were firm and did not worry much.
