Chinese doctors from Wuhan, taught by bitter experience, shared their knowledge, which, against the backdrop of general hysteria, will help you stay calm and confident, even if you have a fever.

Scientists from Zhongnan Hospital at Wuhan University in China, who carefully studied the symptoms of CoViD-19, found out how the coronavirus behaves day after day, and told how not to confuse it with the common cold. If you do not know the symptoms, the Chinese doctors assure, then a person who has caught a cold may well think that he has caught the coronavirus and vice versa - CoViD-19 is really very easy to confuse with a simple flu.

Specialists from Wuhan studied 138 patients and divided the course of the disease into specific periods. First, scientists have identified two phases of the disease. The most common symptom on the first day is fever. High temperature was recorded in 99% of those infected. But on the second day, a person develops severe fatigue, to which a dry cough and muscle pains are added. In some cases, nausea and diarrhea may also be added to the above symptoms.

The first phase ends on the seventh day. In 85% of those infected, symptoms subside. The next day, you can return to work, if, of course, you work from home and do not contact other people, experts add.

But if by the seventh day you have trouble breathing, then the second phase has begun. It lasts another two weeks, but, fortunately, only 15% of those infected are threatened. At this point, you should not sound the alarm and panic, but you should go to the hospital immediately, as the sick person may require hospitalization. Death from coronavirus, the researchers emphasize, occurs at about 17 days. And by the 21st day, the second stage of the disease ends, and patients who have overcome it can already slowly start working.

And finally, an up-to-date summary of the number of people infected. According to WHO, on the evening of March 17, 11,526 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the world per day. The total number of those infected has exceeded 200 thousand people. 8010 people died from illness or complications caused by the virus, 82.8 thousand people recovered. In Russia, over the past day, 33 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded: 31 cases in Moscow, and one each in the Tomsk and Novosibirsk regions. The total number of cases is 147. And one more thing: while the post was being written, the media reported the only good news for today related to the coronavirus - the international music contest Eurovision was officially canceled.
