This is the same quiet and calm voice that cannot be confused with anything. He always provides us with the best answers to the most important questions!

When I am faced with some difficult test or difficult life situation, be it a conflict with loved ones, a difficult decision about work, relationships or health, or, say, when I need to get an answer to some important question, I use a special method … It brings clarity to thoughts, allowing you to hear your inner voice more clearly. You can also call it intuition - after all, in fact, they are the same thing!

Time after time my friends and clients ask me: "How can I hear an inner voice and be sure that it is he?" And so I decided to write in this article about the path that led me to understand how to achieve this with the least effort.

Let's start at the beginning. What is the "inner voice"?

Your "inner voice" is you, you are real! We hear it when we look into the most secluded corner of the soul, allowing us to touch our own intuition. And also to identify and feel the difference between her voice and all the other internal monologues that are sometimes conducted inside our head.

These monologues are usually nothing more than the voice of our ego - very loud, with constantly changing opinions. If we let him do this, the ego will easily drown out the weak voice of intuition and will not bring us anything new. For most of it is concerned with the topics of control, convenience, safety, over-responsibility, recognition, approval, and self-importance. Again, it does not tell us anything new and unexpected, but only comments on our thoughts, feelings and actions.

But a real, deep inner voice connects us to a higher and wiser level of consciousness that exists beyond reason and emotion.

His presence can be recognized by qualities such as acceptance, empathy, joy, calmness, enthusiasm, forgiveness, gratitude, and unconditional love. When you experience these positive feelings and sensations, you know that you are listening to your inner voice and not something else.

And the best part is that this incredibly high level of consciousness is literally at arm's length from you, because it is part of our true, deep personality!

Tempting, isn't it? And it is our inner voice, when we finally force ourselves to listen to it, that is able to inspire us and direct us to the true path.

But … is it really that very voice, the voice of your intuition? After listening to a voice saying something in your mind, ask yourself the following questions:

If you can answer yes to any of these questions, then you are not hearing an inner voice at all! Most likely, it is just the voice of your ego or inner critic, urgently demanding your attention. Because at the moment you are experiencing intense mental or emotional turbulence, and your mind is occupied with thoughts related to difficult questions, unexpected events, or the need for choices.

When our minds are overwhelmed with emotions associated with pain, anger, irritation, frustration or fear, it is not easy to switch from a negative state to even a little positive one.

So what should we do? How can we calm all these completely different and very loud aspects of ourselves so that we can finally hear our inner voice in peace and quiet?

Here are five steps I take to “tap into” my inner voice. You can repeat them the same.

1. First I create for myself a kind of sacred place, a kind of altar

Not religiously - it's just a specific place in my house where I go when I need to hear my inner voice. This place should be secluded, safe, and no one should bother me there.

I light candles there and put my favorite stone or mineral there, as well as any object that has special meaning to me. It should be a place where I feel positive energy.

2. After that, I provide myself with complete peace and quiet

Eliminate all distractions such as TVs, radios, computers, and cell phones. I create a real SILENCE around myself, trying to achieve the absence of any sounds or noise.

I create for myself an external environment in which silence provides an opportunity to look deeper into the depths of the soul, allowing you to hear your inner voice more clearly.

3. After that I pray

By this, I establish a connection with the higher powers (for me it is the Lord, but for you they may be different). And I ask them for strength, direction on the right path and support in my endeavors.

This allows me to enter into resonance with a higher consciousness, much wiser and more knowledgeable than my everyday, everyday consciousness.

I repeat, this stage may be different for you, but, in fact, it is not so important where exactly you find your source of faith - the main thing is that this something should really be something more than yourself.

I resonate with my spiritual side to find peace and tranquility. In an effort to hear my inner voice, I simultaneously seek to hear the voice of the Lord.

4. I ask my inner voice for help

When I am looking for ways to solve a serious problem, or I need to make a difficult decision - at such moments I really need to hear the advice of my inner voice. So I try to take a neutral posture, and open my heart and mind wide open so that they are not attached to anything.

And every time I repeat the phrase "May this action or answer go to the benefit of everyone around." After all, I really only want the best for all parties involved in this problem!

5. And finally, I meditate and do breathing exercises

I do this in order to clear my soul and mind of emotions and unnecessary thoughts. I use a variety of breathing exercises, and I especially like the exercise called "Breath of the Buddha."

Sit on a chair, straighten your back and slightly squeeze your tailbone under you. Imagine a string with a weight at the end going straight down from the top of your head. Place your feet on the floor shoulder-width apart and straighten your toes so that they look straight ahead. Place your hands on your knees. Concentrate on your breathing and breathe in deeply. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Imagine that your breath is spreading evenly from your stomach in all directions - forward, backward, and also down the entire length of your body.

Breathe naturally and let your body relax. Every time you lose concentration, return your attention to your breathing.

Remember how our parents taught us that we must calm our minds and muffle our emotions so that we can "hear how we think." And you know what? They were absolutely right!

This process requires calmness, silence and listening skills from you, and over time it all becomes a habitual ritual for you that you will do every time, needing to hear your inner voice.

Remember the main thing - you can recognize your inner voice just by the fact that it is loving and benevolent - there is not a drop of value judgments in it.

Not an ounce of negative! His advice is always constructive and positive.
