A series of bizarre attacks on livestock over the past few weeks have horrified residents of the Mexican village of Monterrey, located in northern Honduras near Choloma.
Locals suspect that the death of more than 35 animals, including 30 sheep, several goats, a horse and even three unfortunate dogs, is the Chupacabra, a mysterious vampire predator that does not eat meat, but only feeds on blood.
The last attack occurred at dawn on Friday 12 May 2017. A very frightened Neli David Martinez, nephew of one of the farmers, said he saw a Chupacabra attack four grazing goats.
According to him, he heard a noise in the pasture, went there and saw a black shadow surrounding defenseless animals, which after a few moments fell dead to the ground, and the mysterious stranger, turning into a ghost, simply disappeared
Unfortunately, Martinez could only watch the eerie scene as he was completely paralyzed with fear. Although Martinez's testimony does not fit the description of the "classic" Chupacabra, he insists that he saw this notorious cryptid, which was probably hunted in a very unique way.
The villagers fear that the ghostly creature may turn its evil gaze on people, and especially on unsuspecting children.
Given the significant damage it has suffered as a result of animal deaths and the general feeling of fear in the village, the Chupacabra has once again lived up to its reputation as the most formidable creature in cryptozoology.
